Everyone needs change !
I love soap nuts! Soap nuts are the answer to my detergent problems for years ! Tide , gain etc are literally poisonous , and we are putting cups right into the streams and water ways around our homes , they just cover everything with a scent that’s almost oily , and it’s so bad for environment! People have been using Indian soap berries among other names for a very long time ! Great cleaning properties , come from the oils in the nut of the tree ! My clothes just smell like CLEAN AF ! I just smell nothing it’s so great to dry off and not rub a scent from a detergent all over myself ! My 1 year old was getting like reactions from normal detergent on her skin ! But now using the 18 x soap berry detergent they are gone ! We are actually getting family to start using the detergents because she would get the same reactions from clothes washed there !! I cannot recommend anything more , detergents that are toxic should not be going down drains , especially places In the country where they don’t have city sewers! Please people switch to a natural detergent it’s better for you and the earth surrounding you. A true win win 💯, and it makes my baby happy !

Super Concentrated
We typically use this to wash windows. We mix a small amount along with a splash of vinegar in a spray bottle with water and use as window cleaner. The windows are so sparkly clean and trust me my husband is extremely picky about the windows. Lately I have added one pump into my load of laundry. I fully believe the clothes come out much brighter. It doesn't really have any kind of distinguishable smell or fragrance, so there is nothing offensive in this area. Just remember it is super concentrated. Highly Recommend.

Worthwhile Experiment
While this liquid is not the end-all be-all that those who seek to make their fortunes from it would have you believe, it is a useful commodity. I used it for everything I wash for about a month. I believe it has lessened my son's low grade rash which usually exists in some form on his body. I may continue to buy this product and use it for sheets and towels and my son's t-shirts and shorts.I do not like 18X for delicates. In fact, it has greatly increased the "dryer fatigue" of several synthetic or synthetic/cotton blend garments by allowing micro balls to form on the surface of these fabrics, in just the first usage. It is definitely best on 100% cotton items, apparently there is something that decreases surface fatigue in standard detergents (I use Tide.) I will only use it for pure cotton items from here on out. I do quite like it for towels and sheets, although it has pretty much ruined the one set of cotton/poly sheets I own. That set is now covered with micro balls and not comfortable to sleep on. If everything you own is organic cotton, you're in business with soap nut liquid! If you are a regular person with a variety of fabrics clamoring for attention from the washer and dryer, like I am, proceed with caution on anything that is all or partially synthetic. The damage might be prevented with dryer sheets, but I don't use them at all and would rather use Tide than add a dryer sheet to the 18X.So, a mixed review from me, but overall I think it is a useful item to help neutralize skin reactions to regular detergent. It is true that laundry does emerge with a sweet smell using 18X and I am not sure how that is possible. The liquid has very little odor and if anything smells like very weak beer. Finished laundry does indeed smell very sweet and fresh. Cotton towels become extremely thirsty after a few washes in 18X, seems to clear away all detergent residue. Front loading HE washer also is cleaner after a month of 18X.It should also be said that 18X does very little about stains when left to its own devices. I had to add Spray & Wash to every stain, those I missed had to go through again with S&W. It does deodorize well. I added OxyClean to all white loads, felt whites looked a bit gray (dingy) when I didn't. I also added some Boraxo to every load that did not get an OxyClean boost. All in all, a bit more trouble since Tide does not require any boosts except for stains, at times. No need to add OxyClean to towels & other whites with Tide.Bottom line: without the skin rash issue, not sure it's worth the hassle.UPDATE: March, 2011 - Did not re-order. Not enough benefits, too much hassle and just not worth it!!!

Superb
Being extremely chemically sensitive has led me on a very long quest for a laundry detergent that meets my sensitivity needs and one that also does everything needed for clean, soft laundry. I have used many "fragrance free" products that have left a subtle scent on clothes that was difficult for me since I also have a heightened sense of smell. Some of those products left the clothes feeling harsh or faded. THIS product is amazing. It sounds costly but, believe me, it is worth it. One spritz is all you need for a load of clothes, the clothes come out of the dryer softer so there is no need for chemical softener and poisonous dryer sheets. We've used it to shampoo our dog whose hair had been dull from other products. I couldn't be in the house when the dog was being washed with doggie shampoos because of the chemicals. We use this detergent for just about everything. Environmentally sound, wonderful for the clothes, incredible for health issues related to chemicals and harsh cleaning products. We also use the ALTA dish liquid, which we find leaves the dishes clean bright and shiny but I have to admit is probably too expensive for a large family. I am unable to wear gloves to wash dishes and was using Seventh Generation dish liquid but the SLS (SO bad for skin) was harsh on my system. Just because a product says it is unscented doesn't mean it doesn't have harmful chemicals. Give this company a try if your pocketbook permits. You won't be sorry.
