The media could not be loaded. True to the product description, this axe is completely functional while also being beautifully designed. The handle is a solid piece of wood with a cherry-like tone and appears to be varnished with a satin finish. The wrap on the handle looks great and also offers some assistance with grip. My only minor complaint about this axe is that the handle is a little too thick for my hand, but my friend with larger hands thinks it's perfect. Doesn't change how happy I am with it.The design on the face is detailed and has a raised texture. The wedge in the eye looks good and there is absolutely no play between the head and the handle. The included mask is made of leather and perfectly fits the head while also providing a belt loop. Finally, the included knife is a solid piece of sharp steel with a nicely wrapped handle and has it's own sheath with belt loop. It would be worth the price without the included knife, but I'm glad to have it regardless. This would make a great display piece, but I have no doubt it will hold up to some real work if that's what you're looking for.

First, if you’re looking for a Norse axe that can effectively split wood, buy this one! This isn’t a toy, it’s a beautiful tool/weapon that’s ready for work! It also looks just like the pictures you see but better once it arrives.I did notice how the blade had one area that was slightly skewed, but hey, this still passed the following test I did with it. I used it on a palo verde tree we recently cut down and it didn’t disappoint. Eventually, I’ll need to hone the edge some, but it’s great!For its size, it is perfect for camping trips and whenever you need to raid an Anglo-Saxon village.Lastly, the knife was a nice touch! The tip was definitely sharp, but I had to sharpen the rest of it to my liking to make it useful for me.

Clearly used with good materials, even the bonus knife was heavy and sharp. However I felt the design on the axe wasn't done well enough for my own liking. Most of it was smudged by the time I got it which kinda ruins the point of having it. With that being said, if you don't mind imperfections, it's a pretty solid set material wise. Made with good metal and sharp edges.

The media could not be loaded. Overall the axes look awesome and design is quality, the edges are sharp. The knife is a really nice gift with it for the price. The tip appears to either be chipped slightly or just needs extra sharpening. As for the sheath for one axe that I purchased because I bought 2, one for myself and one for my brother's wedding gift. One sheath had a snap so rusty that it broke when I unwrapped it to look at the axe. That is unfortunate. Otherwise cool product and I appreciate that it's hand made and understand that a lot of work and skill goes into making these tools. Just need better rust prevention techniques.

It’s absolutely stunning! The engraving on the blade is flawless, it’s sturdy, just overall breathtaking! I ordered this as a Christmas present for my husband as we are frequent axe throwers, and he will absolutely love it!
