HydraPak Watergate Wide Mouth Splash Guard - BPA & PVC Free - Fits Most Wide Mouth Bottles

I bought this to replace my humangear capcap which worked great but would feel of a nasty mildew smell no matter how much I cleaned it. I use this with the original Nalgene lid and so far so good! For my 40oz Nalgene and Takeya tritan bottles it fits nice and snug. Have not had an issue with it falling into the bottle or falling out during normal use. A lip around the top would completely negate the possibility of it falling in but for Mr it is not necessary. It also works great on pasta jars if you want to recycle them as drink containers lol. No mold so far but I also don't make lip contact and just waterfall everything. I do see the raised lettering as a potential mold playground as mentioned in other reviews if you use it with non-water drinks and don't clean it regularly. The vent holes work great for smooth pouring. No tears or breakage yet, and it seems durable enough where it won't be an issue. I imagine it wouldn't stand up very well as a pet chew toy though. I originally considers buying Nalgene's splash guard but wanted something pliable and not plastic. I do not regret going with this one!

I often wonder why I didn’t buy one of these before this purchase. I actually have a couple of these now. I used to try to drink from my large mouth Nalgene and often found that I dripped on myself or because I was attempting to be so careful, that the water couldn’t come out fast enough. I buy this splash guard and it changed my world! I can drink from my bottles with no spills, no no wet chin or shirt from drips, and I can drink fast from my Nalgenes. I find that this splash guard makes it SO easy to drink that I can drink all 32 ounces very quickly. I do hand wash this, but it is dishwasher friendly. I find that when I let the dishwasher do the work, that it comes out smelling like my detergent, which very off putting. So hand washing this is really the way to go and it takes like ten seconds. It fits perfectly in a 32 ounce wide mouth bottle and if you push it into the bottle, it floats and is easy to fish out.

This is the third brand/style I have purchased. All I can say is these are awesome. They allow excellent water out while allowing air in not giving you the glug glug from air flow. Stays in place. Also has great Ice retention not plugging the hole. Made of silicone easy installation, removal, and cleaning. Highly recomend.

I love these! I had one years ago from another brand and I lost it somewhere along the way. I just got a new wide mouth Nalgene bottle and knew I wanted one of these right away. It just fits right inside the mouth of the bottle and keeps water/ice from gushing out at you. Easy to pop in the dishwasher to clean. Easy solution to an annoying problem.

These do fit our 32oz Nalgene bottles, but maybe could be a bit more snug. If you give them a little push, they’ll plop right in to your bottle. So just don’t do that... Regardless, these work well and are a game changer for drinking water during car rides. Just make sure your bottle/the splash guard opening is facing the right way or you may still spill water on yourself. The opening is a little on the small side, but I don’t mind. May be annoying for people who like bigger gulps of water. The green and blue shades are super cute. The silicone is nice and soft, and easy to wash.

I was not convinced when I ordered it. But adding this to my Nalgene has changed my life! This thing is unreal. I never write reviews, but this thing made me. Color is great! Seems very durable. Fits into the top of the neck perfectly. Bravo!

Great to keep the ice in the bottle vs spilling all over the front of me. Soft silicone for sipping on vs the hard plastic

デザイン上、仕方ないのでしょうが、水をこぼさないように、かつ口をつけずに飲むのはコツが要ります。あと値段の割には造りがチャチかなぁ

The cap fits my Hydro flask light weight series bottle with standard mouth very well. I’ve used it for few trips and it worked perfectly. As it’s soft silicon, it can push down if more pressure is applied, otherwise it stays at the top and works well.
