They are a bit too tight going on.
These clear backings are more rigid than the usual tube backings. I have bent a few earrings trying to force these on.

Wear these on the earrings you want to loose.
My earlobes have always dropped, I have large, flat lobes, not a big problem trust me. I have been using plastic/silicone discs for many years they do the trick holding my earrings in place. My supply of backs had begun looking yellowed and worn so I thought I'd replace them. I received these, cute packaging and good price, I thought, until earring #1 fell off. Then I lost my second one! It wasn't me it is these backs, they do not hold my earring tight enough. Now I've lost two valuable earrings, I'm sad. I can't replace them.Sincerely,Patricia Kelly

Just right
Needed an earring backer that would fit a thicker gauge wire. These are just right!! Found that newer earrings have very thin flimsy wires and most plastic and silicone backs fit those but they don’t fit vintage. Bought a couple different backers all to small so very glad to have found these. Mist likely keep you from losing your more expensive pieces. Will not work with the thin gauge. Great find!!

Post hole is a little big
In the past I've ordered these from a jewelry supply website. My husband convinced me to try ordering the same thing through Amazon for the savings. They seem to be pretty much identical except these backings slide on & off without me having to twist back & forth when I slide them off. I'm not sure yet if this is a good or bad thing. I liked how the others were so snug that there was no way they could fall off. I'm hoping these don't fall off but time will tell.
