Very well written
As a complete a history of pro wrestling ventures within a specific territory, the book’s author is able to entertain as well as educate us fans in the rich history of Kentucky promotions. Very well written and researched a joy to read.

Five-star book on the history of Louisville pro wrestling
I really enjoyed this look back at the history of pro wrestling in my hometown. John covered the early days well and informed me of a piece of local history I had no idea existed. He also did well on covering the Jarrett years (I first became a fan around '83) and the OVW era.

Engaging history of Louisville
Bought this as a gift for my boyfriend. We both are from Louisville, and he loves reading local history. Couple that with an affinity for pro wrestling... fantastic! Easy read

Great read for wrestling fans in the area
I heard about this book at local events through Louisville. after seeing it released on Kindle, I thought I would give it a shot. Great history of the world of wrestling. I even learned quite a few different facts about the early days and venues. Great product to read if you are a wrestling fan in Kentucky.

A pretty good book except i was very disappointed that there is absolutely no mention of the big 1972-73 promoter war between Gulas & Welch & Phil Golden. It didn't last very long but it was exciting. All the author had to do was go to the library & look at the old CJ ads on micrifiche.

Cosper's love shines through
This book is a must for any fan of professional wrestling and it's long entertaining history. Stories about Jerry Lawler, Kenny Bolin, Dutch Mantell, Jim Cornette, and more fill this highly detailed history of one of the most important areas of the country when it comes to pro wrestling.

... is a must for "Old School Wrestling guys" who like to see the changes from promoter to promoter
This is a must for "Old School Wrestling guys" who like to see the changes from promoter to promoter. Each has his different style and for the Louisville, Kentucky "Territory" those styles were very diverse from to Dick the Bruiser to Jerry Jarrett to Danny Davis.
