I Remember

I just reread this book and really enjoyed it the second time around too. I like a good love story where there is lots of sexual anxiousness between the 2 characters. I also like a story where the women are strong, smart and believable. This had all of it. It is the kind of book I found hard to put down and those are the best!

A kind of reverse reunion theme. Two women meet on a cruise, spend their time having hot sex but remain largely anonymous to one another. They are then thrown together in their real lives and the story focuses on how they resolve this new type of relationship with the one they began when they met.Julie Cannon is a solid lesfic romance writer. This is a good offering from her. Worth a read.

I have read a lot of lesbian fiction, I mean a lot. i enjoyed this book - i really wanted the characters to get together - had me rooting for them the whole way through - a few funny parts and a really damn good ending.

I enjoyed the book. The characters were interesting and the subplot engaging. I will read other Julie Cannon books in the future.

I have always like Ms Cannon's books and this one is no exception. It brought back 2 of my favorite characters from Come and Get Me, and now 2 new, belivable characters. The only reason I didn't go with 4 stars is the ending just seem to come so abropt, and it leaves you with not really knowing what next. Maybe they will come back in another story of Ms. Cannon's or a short story like she did with Breathless (and the characters of Come and Get Me)-can only hope.

Julie Cannon’s latest novel touches on the lives of Lauren and Elliot from “Come and Get Me” but it isn’t a sequel and stands perfectly well alone.Ms Cannon creates great characters; it is one of the trademarks of her books. Full of life, passion and integrity they are the women we want to be leading the corporate world. While professional and exemplary at work, however, they lead passionate private lives that, at least sexually, expresses a much more dramatic nature. If this case both have struggled to find their perfect partner and find release in short term affairs which don’t impinge on work but don’t satisfy their hearts.This plot is a good twist on the usual girl meets girl but something is in the way. While both women have their hang-ups it is their moral integrity that prevents them from moving forward. We see their struggles as they deal with what is obviously a match made in heaven, and each woman reacts differently to the attraction she feels.We jump back and forwards between Emery and Dana’s lives before the cruise, during and after. So you do need to keep your wits about you to keep track, but it it holds together and has clearly been well scripted as a whole.The corporate shenanigans and travel form an interesting backdrop to the romance. We see how sexism and homophobia are not restricted to men, but can cause women to undermine each other out of fear and hate. Clearly drawn from personal experience Ms Cannon’s corporate background give her novels a welcome veracity.This is, primarily, a romance with extremely hot sex scenes and delightful passion. I thoroughly enjoyed the journey and hope there will be more books to add to the loose ‘series’ in the future.

At the beginning I read the sample so to be able to understand what the book is about and immediately after I bought the book. I really like the way that Julie Cannon writes and the way she describes her characters and their thoughts. Thus it is very obvious for the reader to understant the reason that they are reacting like this or like that. I have become huge fan and I am looking forward to read more of her books
