Hope it scares off the bear
I live in a heavily wooded area where there many wildlife critters. This year there is apparently an increase in the bear population. I have been visited several times during the day by a young bear that has been recently tagged and I was told by the Game Commission that the tags meant that he/she had been relocated within the month. I needed something while out doing yard work that would scare the bear off. Hercules is the perfect size but I a little disappointed in the alarm, I was hoping it would be louder. Other than that, it is the perfect size all the way around, uses AAA batteries instead of button batteries, has a great clasp and belt clip, an on off switch as well a a activation button for both the led light and the alarm.

Ideal if you live in a big city
This device is surprisingly loud enough and it's interesting considering how small, low key and compact it is. The fact that works as a keychain is ideal since I can take it anywhere I go and if somebody looks at it the last thing they are going to think it's that it's a personal alarm.
