CAP BarbellRSG - 050 Curl bar Set, 50 lbs

This is perfect for anyone, like myself, who's just getting started in free weights. Look around. Anything cheaper is going to likely be a lighter set (as if 50 lbs isn't light enough to begin with) and plastic or vinyl coated as opposed to anything all metal. With very basic and even minimal care most any all metal weight set will likely last you a lifetime. Also easy to grow with as you likely move up in weight training. A set like this has loads of value to it. The single piece bar is stronger than the other 2 or 3 piece bars, common sense should tell you that a single piece bar simply has less to potentially go wrong with it as it gets older. Whereas a 2 or 3 piece bar is screwed together in one way or another and that screw setup can wear out. I also dig the appearance of this set, very classic look. Just look at it! It looks like that set you or some kid/teen on your block undoubtedly had in the 80's or 90's, and that's just a cool look. Comfort here is a matter of opinion for sure, not everyone will go for the curl bar and want a traditional straight bar instead, but really, for the price be a little flexible and get something that works perfectly fine. Because again, look around. You ain't going to find a complete, all metal, 50 pound weight set that even after taxes is still well under $70. To say nothing of it coming from a known brand in this world.Bottom line, if you need a good intro weight set or with Xmas nearby and your young teen wants a set, this is it. Easily the best set, both quality and value, out there. Good luck finding a better one at an even remotely competitive price.Update: giving an update to my review after reading the other very mixed reviews. The above comments are just my thoughts on this set. However I did in fact receive the complete set, both weights and bar. As some have pointed out you get a 50 lb set, but get 40 lbs in weight plates while the bar itself account's for 10 lbs. However I see this as a non-issue as anyone who reads the details and description will know this and what to expect as it's very well described. God, read people! Anyway if you do get this you'll get one big fat long round package for your bar and one box seemingly kinda small, but nevertheless loaded with your weight plates and the spring clips for the bar. *GROAN* I'm a little OCD and wanted the UPC stickers off of the weight plates, and their on every single one of them too. If I had any complaint at all here (hey, nothing is perfect) it's getting the stickers and residue off. Otherwise, great set. Side note and possible point of interest. Bar capacity is rated up to 300 max lbs. Already added a pair of 25 lb weight plates (bought separate from this set) and really, unless your a senior or a kid you'll probably want to add to this set early on. Great starter set as I said, but also kinda very bare bones too. I guess if you have an additional number of weight plates you'll be fine, if this is your first set, again, be ready to get additional weight plates soon.

Glad I ordered. EXACTLY what I wanted. I bought another bar and dumbbells bars so I can use these weights multiple ways. Most weight sets online are crazy expensive due to shipping weight/size. Great deal. These will last FOREVER

Tuesday 1/2/24 I Received only half of my order and was supposed to get the rest on 1/3/24 and still nothing something needs to be done about this I'm not happy at all

So real quick: I spent about a week researching curl bars and the choices were good quality high dollar or low quality for cheaper. None of the options worked for a gym rat dad on a budget. That is until the other day I ran into this Cap curl bar. The reviews were slim but I decided to go for it and if you are like myself I think you should too. Good quality, full set delivered at same time but package separately. As far as the lbs... I think the bar itself help to make up the 50lbs but it def seems as if it you're lifting a soild 50... so whatever. Good pump, great quality, affordable price.

Enough weight for senior strength training.

Just got the package. We were hesitant to order due to some of the negative reviews. We gave it a shot anyway because we need a good curl bar. Everything looks good. We received all the weights BUT we are missing the spring clips. :(

Only received a curl bar, inaccurate description,the curl bar set is suppose to come with spring clips and 50 pounds of weight plates along with the curl bar, not cool....
