Joey Travel Jacket with Hidden Pockets (Women's)

I bought this back in June for my trip but haven't been able to wear it yet because the shoulders are gigantic (and I have broad shoulders). They are about 4 or 5 inches too wide, giving a Hulk type effect. This jacket is a large size but the rest fits normally (I buy my clothes off the rack, so it's not me). I was traveling for a month, so I didn't have time to return or exchange it. Altering it will be difficult, with those zippers around the armholes. Otherwise, it's a cool idea and the craftsmanship of all those pockets and zippers is pretty amazing. Good quality, but they need to watch the proportions on the larger sizes.

This jacket is a great concept. I recently used in on a trip to NYC and never had to carry a purse. You kind of need a good memory to keep track of what you put in each pocket because there are so many of them, and you do want to distribute your items so that the jacket hangs correctly and weight is evenly distributed. Cell phone, wallet, cosmetic case, sunglasses, everything fit without looking lumpy and ridiculous. Great item for frequent travelers. It's also a good quality, warm jacket and is sized honestly.

Will write more after I come back from my trip. My Lifestraw Go Water Bottle (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01G7SQ8GS/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_19) won't fit in the water bottle pocket or inside the water bottle strap.

I purchased the Joey and right out of the bag, it was impressive. The look and feel was top shelf. I’m an active mom and I hate having to pack a bag for every little trip. This jacket is like a godsend. I have room for everything. Not only for my keys, wallet, and phone, but also for the kid’s things too like iPads, snacks, diapers, you name it. With all the many pockets, it doesn’t bulk out and everything can be carried comfortably. The jacket itself is made very well. You can tell there was some pride put into making it. I highly recommend it!

As a frequent traveler I am always looking for ways to make traveling easier and cheaper. This jacket is a huge help. For one, all the pockets make storing passports, boarding passes and other important documents a breeze. Everything is within easy reach at all times during check in and security. And with the fully enclosed pockets I don't have to worry about bending over and having everything spill out. On the plane, the eye mask and zippered air vents keep me comfortable no matter what the light or air situation. I also appreciate the ability to route cords through the jacket; no need to worry about headphones turning into a tangled mess. But what I really love about this jacket is that it doubles as a carry-on item. There is enough storage for all the items I normally put in my under-the-seat personal item. With so many airlines charging extra for personal items, this jacket allows me to bring everything I need on board, without having to pay a cent in extra fees!

I'm very pleased with my Joey Jacket! I used the sizing chart provided in the photos section and they are very accurate. The fabric is soft and of very good quality. It is a bit lighter than expected, but when worn with a tee shirt and flannel shirt, it's warm enough for temperatures in the high 40's (for me). I was surprised to find a small pocket on the sleeves, just above the wrist. It's perfect for an I.D., chapstick, or train ticket (see picture -- the card is credit card size and fits perfect, with room for more). The zip-out sleeves are also great and will allow me to use the jacket just about year round (dependant on where I'm traveling). The inside pockets are equal in number and size, on each side. This is smart! I can decide which side I want my iPad, water, phone, travel papers, etc. so everything is evenly distributed. The eye mask is a bit longer than expected, which is actually great. It might be JUST long enough to cover my nose on the plane (so paranoid of catching the flu this year). It also stays in place perfectly when not in use, so it won't hang down and be a nuisance when I'm using the hood. Customer service was prompt and helpful and shipping was really quick. Quality jacket and well made. I'm 5'7" 130lbs, slim frame and used to wearing more fitting jackets so the medium felt a bit bigger than what I am used to. However, it works well when my pockets are full - iPad, notebook, iPhone, passport, wallet, sunglasses. I believe the small would make me look bulky where else the medium hid everything and I had room to move inside. Fabric is not noisy either. Ideal for my 7 months of minimalist travels through Asia Pacific.
