Clean shield needs to be deeper into bowl

I agree! I am looking into attaching some kind of flexible plastic strip to extend the shield deeper into the bowl. For us, that would fix the splash-out problem we have with an otherwise wonderfully well-made and sturdy seat.

The opening of the round toilet seat looks small. Is this a problem?

The width of the opening in the round Bemis is 8" at the widest point while a standard toilet opening width is 9". The front to back opening of the Bemis is 10", the standard 9 1/2". The differences in dimension are irrelevant. My wife and I are of "average" build and have water closets in use that are standard round and Bemis round, with no problem with the size of either opening. If you can use a standard round, you can use the Bemis.

What is the Distance between arms? How many inches? Thank you!!

Inside distance is 20 inches, outside distance is 23 inches. Very good product, happy with my purchase.

What is actual return policy...in case i find it isn't comfy or does quite fit in on small bath space? Certian amount of days? Opened?
