I don't write reviews often. I slid my foot across our hardwood floor and ended up with a gnarly splinter embedded parallel to my foot. Couldn't get it out for the life of me.One use of the splinter out, worked like a charm. I'm splinter free. THANK YOU.For anyone having the same issue: Soak your foot for 30 minutes in warm/hot soapy water. Then, use the lancet point of the Splinter Out to gently feather away the top layers of skin. Typically this skin will be dead so the pain is minimal. Once a piece of the splinter is revealed, you can then grab it and remove it.

Works easy. Painless. Although my splinter is still in my finger, but not because of these. It’s just on there super deep.

These should be in every first aide kit everywhere, because yoy never know when you'll need them. They're sterile and easily managed and protected in their hard plastic case. They take virtually no space, and are easy to use. Some say you car re-sterilize them, but then you also need to put them in a sterile container. I don't suggest that as there are 10 in this box, and they're cheap enough to replace if you get a lot of splinters for some reason.

This is nothing more than a lancet, but it works. Both of my kids have cars now, and are heading off to college, so I have been buying first aid kits to put in their cars. They gave me the "mom-roll-eye" treatments, but soon after buying the first aid kits (like the next day) they were used by their friends, not once but twice in one day.I saw this, and read the write up and thought "what the heck" and ordered it. The very day it came in the mail, I had to pick up a small piece of plywood and lo and behold, I got a HUGE splinter in my hand. Not the little splinter you usually get, but the big plank type. I took one of these things out of the package (they are single use items) and was disappointed when I first saw it. I guess I was hoping for a miracle splinter extractor. It is not that....just a lancet, or metal plank with a metal point on the end. But it is razor sharp. You simple cut the skin on top of the splinter and lift the splinter out. The thing that makes this work is the flatness of the part you hold. A needle is small and round and difficult to hold, and the point is just a point. This is like a tiny knife, and it doesn't roll in your fingers. What would have been an hour or so event to get the splinter out, took just a few minutes once I figured out what I needed to do.So you use it to prick and slice the skin that is on top of the splinter to open up a channel so that the splinter lifts directly up.Very glad I ordered this on a whim. I haven't had a splinter in about 2 years, and the day this comes in the mail is the day I got one.I recommend buying burn gel also while you're at it.

love these things, i deal with firewood all the time and get splinters all the time. these are handy.

I had a splinter in my toe for about a week I tried tweezers, the pointy tweezers, needles nothing worked I was trying to look up videos to see how splinter out works didn’t see one. I bought it anyway I poked at the splinter at it popped right out!!! No more pain very happy with this product

I have to brag on these things for a bit. I spent over a month trying to remove a splinter with tweezers. After buying these with my hopes pretty low, it INSTANTLY got out my splinter. I couldn’t believe it.
