The book is well written and it is nice to read. The matter content in this book and the other book "How Deep ......Civilization" by the same author has a lot in common. When I ordered the books I did not have the idea that these are purely for popular reading. A book with some more technical contents could be welcome for a reader somewhat familiar with the subject but may not be a professional archaeologist. I hope that such a book will be written by an expert like Prof. Lal.

Say you don't have time and you want to read just one book, then read this book. It is so nice to read that you don't even realize how you finished it. All the pictures of dug up history make history real and live for you. Must read for newbies as well as scholars. For Scholars it helps connect the dots left open by other fields of study such as history and linguistics.

This book will change your perspective entirely.
