After replacing the Wii U GamePad battery about four times, I can confirm to anyone that this is the battery that does the job. Nintendo's own extended life battery was good... until it blew itself out, and I've tried 3600 & 4000 mAh battery packs, the latter did ok before losing its charge after a month.I fully recharged the battery before using and with a combination of brightness on 4, no power save mode activated, volume on full, and screen off time for breaks this battery lasted easily for 8 hours. I played The Legend of Zelda BotW, Devil's Third, Watch Dogs, and Xenoblade Chronicles X as testing samples for that day.It does do this weird thing where the battery light flashes orange which is corrected by setting in its dock and picking up again. I hope it keeps its charge after a month of use.Other than that this battery comes at the highest recommendation for Wii U GamePad battery replacement.

I took a chance with this battery. Battery is working great. Takes about 7-8 hours to fully charge, but I think I am getting near 10 hours of use, give or take an hour. (haven't fully timed it.) Don't have to worry about running out of battery power with a full charge. And I can just have it charge up at night while sleeping and it will be (near) fully charged in the morning. The battery will show flashing on the gamepad when on the charger after it has been on there for 7-8 hours. Just unplug or reseat on the charger and let it finish charging until the light goes off. About another hour. Gave new life to my Wii U.

It died quicker tgan tge factory installed battery after i fully charged it.gets really hot.waste of money.

the battery fit really snug but it fit!!! My boy was so happy to finally use the gamepad remotely without having to sit close to the TV. The battery lasted well over 2 hours before needing recharged. Awesome buy at a great price.

You do need to disassemble the handheld unit. It is not hard. Search for YouTube videos and watch a few. This battery may be larger than the one you are replacing, that is OK. It fits. I don't really remember how long the original battery lasted, but this one is good for more than 4-5 hours. I am a bit older now and don't seem to have enough play time to kill a battery.

There was little interest in using the Wii-U since the game pad held very little charge and would unpredictably die in the middle of a gaming session. Now with this replacement battery, the gamepad lasts much longer - perhaps even longer than when the game was new. Now my son has renewed interest in playing his old game titles now that he can play on the gamepad for long periods of time without interruption. Worth the price to get it if you need to replace your battery.

my dying battery on my wii-u gamepad holds a better and longer charge then this new battery... cannot recommend, swapped back to my old battery for now...
