What can I say? I have no idea of this is working. I have Osteoporosis, aging joints and everything else. All I know is this blends beautifully into my smoothies, it's flavorless, feels great in my belly, and I keep ordering it which is more than I can say for the other 5 brands I've tried. I totally trust Nordic Naturals as well. Get it!

Tasteless in my coffee, no smell. Mixes easily into hot liquids, but I haven’t tried mixing it into cold liquids such as a smoothie. It seems to help my arthritic joints, so I am continuing to use it regularly. I stir 3 scoops into my coffee every morning. I don’t taste the collagen at all, and I know there are some collagen products out there that have a very strong flavor. It is pricey for the 10 ounce/ 300g size plastic jar, but you know it’s a good deal when it flies off the shelf at Whole Foods/Amazon when on special! I would give it 5 stars if they changed their packaging to a larger, environmentally friendlier type. Some counties just don’t accept all plastics, and this is a HDPE #2 plastic container.

Nordic Naturals is a quality brand that's been around for a long time. Their collagen peptide powder is new to me and seems perfectly fine. It has no flavor or aroma. It blends seamlessly into my coffee. It has 20 grams of collagen peptides per serving, 15 servings. Depending on how much you need, or typically use, this can be easily halved. I use 10-20 grams per day. So this is 15-30 servings. Price is actually within the realm of reasonable for the amount of collagen per container (dont go based on servings alone, as the amount per serving varies significantly), but at ceiling cap for what I look for in price. Of all the supplements I take, there are but a few that are absolute daily must haves. Collagen peptides is one. I have no idea what it has done for the inside of my body, but I began taking it in my early 30s, and am now mid 40s. I am sure genetics play into it, but my skin, hair, nails are noticeably fantastic. I have no aches despite being way overweight. If brand new to this, then start low and slow. 20 grams to start ay be too much at once. Start with half, or a quarter, then let your body get used to it. I have been using collagen peptides (aka hydrolyzed collagen) for well over a decade now. Back when I first started there were but 1-2 brands that carried hydrolyzed form of collagen (which means that collagen is broken down into a more immediately, easily absorbed form that is easier to digest, ie; "collagen peptides"). Great Lakes being among the first, then some years later Ancient Nutrition and Vital Proteins, then it seemed everyone came out with their version. No shortage of options, and I really dont notice much difference. Oddly prices havent changed much, but there is some variability. Just shop around, look for grass fed bovine sources, and go from there. I dont rate on price, you will have to decide for yourself if this price tag is of value to you. I find it on the higher end for straight collagen, but it is a long time quality brand, and I have no issues with it. I rate 5 stars not necessarily because it is better, but because it meets my expectations of a quality brand. Now adays I look for collagen peptides that also includes vitamin C and hyaluronic acid as the addition of those further help absorption and availability (so I have read). Some have a few extra supplements beyond that. Prices then begin to reflect these additions. I usually spring for them so long as the collagen peptide amount is still up there (10+ grams per serving). But I still use straight collagen peptides such as this one by Nordic Naturals.

Says it's flavorless. If they meant they didn't add flavor that statement would be true but it tastes horrible. Getting it mixed takes some effort, it likes to clump together. Not sure on effectiveness.

I have learned that you get what you pay for, for the most part. Collagen varies in quality, and I prefer the hydrolyzed bovine collagen that is pasture raised and grass fed over just bovine. I am 62 years old, and most people think I'm maybe in my mid-fifties. I attribute it to the quality collagen that I take every day. This collagen is very fine milled and mixes pretty easily in my coffee or a smoothie. My joints feel like they did 20 years ago, and my hair is thick and full. My skin is still dry, unfortunately, but the wrinkles aren't as readily apparent as they would be if I didn't take collagen every day. I have been taking collagen for several months now, and if you're new to collagen, then you'll need a good month of taking it daily to see and feel results but it's worth the wait. This is a great product, and even my husband has started taking it in the hope of diminishing the pain in the joints of his hands. I highly recommend this product!
