The roll is wound extremely tight
I bought this to use on my silhouette cameo 4 with the roll feeder. The roll I got is wound so tight that the machine can't pull it through. I have to cut the material to length and roll it back on its self just to get it flat enough to use in the machine. Doing this makes it pucker and difficult to work with. When I do get it to work, it's very good. It makes very clean stencils and is easily removable when finished.May the roll I got was just bad but it is quite frustrating to work with.

Bleeding
When using on top of treated hdu board, paint seemed to bleed under the orcal. I’m not sure if it is because i airbrushed over the oracal.

Had to review this product.
Usually, I don't have much time to write reviews but for this product I had to write a review.Prior to using this masking material I was using painters tape and a type of frisket paper that I had got somewhere yrs ago. During the cutting on my CNC the bit would get gobbed up with the adhesive of the aforementioned products. I would have to clean the bit with acetone between jobs. Running with this mask was like a miracle happened. The bit cut thru the mask into the wood and left clean edges with no sticky buildup on the bit. There was some material kinda wrapped around the bit but I could get rid of that with a puff of air.The one thing I do recommend is that the smoother the finish the less likely for paint to bleed under the mask.If you have a bit of a rough surface you might want to burnish the edges with at least your finger before painting.

Not very sticky.
This was not very sticky and the paper backing stuck to my Cricut mat.

Works wonders just be sure to sand first
After hearing rave reviews I decided to take the leap and try this stencil vinyl. I say leap becuase it is considerably more expensive (at least here on Amazon) than Oracle 651 or 631.My first wood sign attempt with it was a bust. I used chalk paint and didn't sand the final layer of paint before applying the stencil. The surface felt smooth, but I discovered after removing the stencil it wasn't.Next attempt I used a really fine grit sand paper on the base paint before applying the stencil. Pulled the stencil up and it was beautiful!!! Crisp clean lines.I do like the fact that this is doesn't pull up paint like 631. So I'll definitely be using it for layered designs. For stained signs or single layer designs I'll probably stick to 631 simply because it's cheaper. Took away 1 star for the price. Overall a great product.

So much more convenient than masking tape!
I've only used it for 1 project so far, but on that project it worked exactly how I hoped it would. I use it for painting stencils and the fact that it's transparent is such a convenience over regular masking tape. It makes doing layers and multiple colors SO much easier. I'm not sure how well it does at sealing out all types of paint, but it created perfect sharp lines with the plain old latex paint I was using on my project. It also sticks very well, but doesn't peel up previous layers of paint.I'm a little nervous that it might be too brittle to cut out some more intricate and detailed designs. I guess I'll just have to cross that bridge when I come to it. Until then, it works exactly as advertised and is so much more convenient than masking tape. It's a great value too. It's pretty comparible to what you might pay for some inferrior types of tape.

Not for cnc projects
I noticed right away that this product doesn't stick very well to wood unless it's heated first. It will not stick to anything that doesn't have a well-sanded surface or MDF. I used it with a CNC and this product was useless for that application. I could see this being used with good results on lighter applications like plexiglass or glass.

Good Stencil Material For Silhouette
I've been using this material with my silhouette to make signs and other home decor items. The only time I have issues with it is when the wood is really grainy and then it tends to bleed a little. As long as the wood is sanded well and has a good base coat on it though it's super easy to work with and gives good results. Started with the 25 foot roll to try it out and then purchased the 100 foot roll which I am probably half way through.

What I needed!
I bought a roll mainly for the screen printing workshops that I run as it quick and easy to put a design onto a screen, prints said design and can be removed after the class so I can reuse the screen for the next one. The transparency helps show where you're printing which is a bonus. I would prefer it to be just a touch stickier.Yes, it does bubble at times. Bubbles, however, do not make this product useless. You can smooth out the bubbles just the same as any other roll of vinyl. I find it works best to do so prior to cutting, while on the cutting mat (it keeps the carrier sheet in place while smoothing out the vinyl).

Good product
I use this product for CNC. It works great and has very little blessing if you do a quick coat of laque first.

Good Product
I like this product - fair strength for intricate cuts - some tearing. Otherwise very good for use with my Cricut machine.
