Black Seed Oil is known in Hindi as Kalonji, or Bengali as Kalo Jeera in cooking. It is the seed of the Nigella Sativa plant and looks like onion seed. It is supposed to have strong anti inflammatory benefits. This is why I take it, as I have an auto immune wound that is causing massive pain on my ankle. I take 2 per day and have not noticed any measurable decrease in pain or inflammation, but also not noticed any bad side effects. So, I remain neutral on it. For other forms of inflammation it might work well.

Good for immune system
On my 2nd bottle! It really helps my stomach when I feel an autoimmune flare coming on. I think it's also responsible (at least in part) for keeping the family from getting the ick this winter!
