30" x 10 ft. Clear UV Blocking Window Film

I read some reviews that film doesn't work at all, but so many more say that it's great. I took a chance but decided to run an experiment. I made three red silk swatches. I put the control swarch in a drawer. I taped one swatch to the window with film, and one to the window without film. The windows are side by side with identical exposure. The fabric has been in the window for only six weeks. I compared both to the control today. See the photo for yourself. Both swatches have faded identically to tomato red, while the control swatch is still cranberry. The change is slight, but you have to remember it's only been six weeks. Consider the fading that would happen in a year! I have contacted the seller but no response. BUYER BEWARE! I've be re-reading the 99% claim and I'm noticing that it doesn't say it prevents 99% more than standard glass windows... so I bet that's the "gimmick" -- i.e., It doesn't do any more than glass. And I'm sure if the furniture were outside, it would fade faster in direct sunlight. Don't waste your money.
