Is it cat proof? I have a cat that will try and claw it down and rip it to shreds!

The mesh is designed to keep insects out, not cats in, so I wouldn’t trust it for your cat’s safety, especially on the 3rd floor.

How does it stick to window is it with adhesive

It is not self adhesive. I made a frame to go on the outside of the window and sandwiched between this and the window frame. A good adhesive tape should hold it subject to where you want to use it. It is a very tough material but easily cut with scissors..
