I know question is old but in case it helps ... Nissin "Top Ramen" shows that "Soy Sauce" (which I believe was previously called "Oriental Flavor") is VEGETARIAN.  It might taste beefy with the soy/umami richness but it does NOT have animal protein flavors like beef, shrimp, or chicken.  Nissin also shows "Top Ramen, Chili" as a Vegetarian Option.  I'm not a ramen expert but I was looking for "Oriental Flavor" ramen today and read this information off the package.  Fun fact:  If anyone remembers "Oodles of Noodles" (I'm showing my age but it's a fun blast from the past) ... that appears to be a Nissin/Top Ramen brand!  Who knew!?  Anyway, my guess is the Maruchen is the same but you should contact them.

There are factors in the "straight to your door" delivery on any food items purchased on Amazon, mainly, the cost of the product, the commission Amazon takes for the sale, the ACTUAL Cost of shipping to you and the labor, ink, paper, boxes, packing peanuts, etc that may cost the seller to get the order to you. With these factors, third party sellers do not make a small fortune on these sales, they are priced with all of the above mentioned. Remember, ordering online adds Shipping and Handling Charges for the very reason that you don't or chose not to walk into this local store and getting for the price mentioned.

It’s actually vegetarian because it’s soy sauce flavor. Look at the new packs they renamed soy sauce flavor. And it says vegetarian right on them. Google will also show from the website that it is the same product just a name change.
