The blurb for this product on the Amazon website, Was in my opinion, Misleading to the point of almost being fraudulent. It claims:★Alkia remote control suitable for HUMAX DTR-T1000, DTR-T1010, DTR-T2000, HB-1000S, HB-1100S, HDR-1000S, HDR-1010S, HDR-1100S, FVP-4000T, FVP-5000T universal smart digital TV box.★No programming or setting up required, simply insert the batteries(not supplied) and start using your HUMAX TV replacement remote.★It is NOT an original HUMAX remote, but it works right out of box without any programming for HUMAX TV.★Comfortable grip. The buttons are made of soft plastic, and the remote control is made of high quality ABS material.★1 year warranty. Alkia provides you with best customer service. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.It is most certainly NOT ready for use out of the box,I purchased this as a replacement for the remote control for my Humax HB 1000-SInserting brand new batteries. It controlled nothing whatsoever straight out of the box. The device had an instruction leaflet included.This was probably best suited as toilet paper, for such a crappy device.It made NO mention of my Humax HB 1000-S. So was of no use in programming, bearing in mind that the device claimed not to need any programming. This is no doubt cause and effect, I'm just not sure, which was which.DON'T BUYDON'T BUYDON'T BUY

This is a very well priced replacement for our YOUVIEW zapper that is well made and intuitively laid out. The buttons are not in exactly the same place as the one that came with the box but they are well marked and as you start to use it they become instinctive. It is lightweight plastic but well molded, no breaking a nail to get the battery cover off and best of all the light emitting section at the top is small bulb - our old one had a full plastic top that popped off every time the zapper was put down. It worked first time with our box without any retuning issues. Good price and well designed.

For anyone wondering whether this is suitable for a Humax Freesat (HDR-1100) device, rest assured it works perfectly. The shape and layout are similar to the original remote that comes with the Humax, so it will feel familiar, and there is no setting up required (unless you want to control your TV with the same buttons, in which case you will need to enter a bit of code.) Excellent value for money.

Using to control a Humax FVP 4000-T with a Samsung TV and it works OK. The instructions are not totally intuitive, but I followed them and the remote worked without a problem - the first Samsung code on the list was the correct one for my TV, which simplified things. I'm not sure how robust the control will be over time, it is definitely not as sturdy as the original Humax controller, but having purchased it at a 'flash sale' price, I feel it represents very good value for money.

Ordered this as a replacement for my Humax Freesat box remote control, which had been very temperamental & not fast forwarding on the planner programs & just generally not working well. This one is a definite improvement, buttons do work, some are in a slightly different place to the original but I worked it out, not difficult. Sometimes the buttons get stuck 'in' & cause the top red buttons to flicker & it won't work but when they're all in the place they should be it's fine! Cheaper than some that look identical so I'm sure it's the same anyway. Would recommend! 👍
