When brushing, its hair shedding is minimal, unlike the cheap brushes that make a mess. It's also not too coarse for my liking, which is ideal for routing dry brushing (before moist cloth wiping) with little risk of damaging the leather surface. Even though I got the brown-haired version, the bristle hairs appear to be natural(?), and they do not add, reduce, or alter the colouring on any of my brown or black shoes. I did not try this on white leather, of course, because delicate colours require dedicated brushes. Review: Good quality - Soft! The size is good enough for my purses
