Two thumbs up! Great starter hive.
This is a very nice starter hive, all parts were great quality for the $$. (The frames although unassembled are made from basic pine/fur and well cut, good quality they assembled well, no splitting when nailed.) two thumbs up! I purchased for the hive, and haven't yet used any of the accessories, like other reviewers, I sort of figured those were trow in items, but everything looks decent! Nicely waxed wood and shipped fast!

Good Hive but go bigger!
This was my first hive box and it has served well all summer. No complaints and would buy again but with additional boxes. Also remember to add more beeswax to the foundation. The bees need more than what most foundation comes with to prevent wonky comb. If you are just getting started, go BIGGER. You WILL need more than one box!
