Bad aftertaste, baking powder with Aluminum Phosphate
Very acrid aftertaste. Heat activated baking powder most likely the culprit, as it contains aluminum and leaves a metallic taste in mouth or burns the throat. Too bad, this could be a fantastic product! Only about 20% of the population can taste this, my husband doesn't notice it at all but my three daughters and I most certainly do. I purchased 6 bags and will be donating the remaining 5 to the food bank. Hopefully the people to receive them will be in the majority who don't taste this foul flavor.The scones baked up beautifully, very unfortunate waste of money, and disappointing for Saturday morning breakfast. Back to scratch from now on. Will not be trying any other items made by Sticky Fingers Bakeries.
