My friend and I are both visually impaired and we live far from each other. We keep in touch by making speaking onto cassette tapes and then passing them back and forth to each other. My friend needed a new cassette recorder, so I purchased this and had it sent to her. She reports that it is working out fairly well. She says the external mic jack does not fit the mic she had around the house, but that the internal mic works ok. She says the playback sound is a little weak, so she needs to turn the volume way up. All that being said, it appears that this cassette recorder will work for us to stay in touch.

This recorder ruined cassette tapes that were put in, we purchased 2 for our kids and they both ruined tapes new and vintage ones, we are so disappointed! Do not recommend, as the company did nothing to help

Exactly as promised

The cassette recorder only stopped automatically on occasion. It was supposed to have automatic stop, so you shouldn't have to press the stop button manually. I sent the unit back. Otherwise the unit seemed to function satisfactorily. I decided to exchange it for another one - same model - and found this one stopped automatically in play mode, but not for rewind or fast forward. I think if the package and ad say "Automatic Stop", then I should expect it to stop in all modes of play. I think the ad is deceiving and will definitely not buy another one.

Great size, works well, no complaints here. Good value for the money.

My mother has old gospel tapes and needed a tape cassette. The sound quality is good. And it doesn't eat up the tape cassettes. With some of her tapes being over 20 years the speed quality was great. The cassette sound didn't drag or become distorted. It's small and compact and easy to carry. Will buy again.

recording function didn't break immediately unlike another similar product on Amazon, does exactly what I wanted and records in high enough quality for general purpose.

Terrible the mains adapter is two pin no good do not buy this product Chinese rubbish I just binned it
