The Maya Book of Life: Understanding the Xultun Tarot Paperback – January 19, 2013

Michael Owen is a Jungian Analysis and a scholarly researcher. This book is not meant take you into the full Tarot. It is an analysis of the foundational concepts linked to the elders and teachings of the Mayan Quiche. If a person truly wants to establish a foundation of the laws of the universe and DNA code of transformational change that address conscious with accountability then "READ THIS BOOK FIRST!" Then pick up the cards and work consistently with the Major Card and the STORY of the Zero Chiefs. This book sets the foundation from a Jungian and Oral Traditionalist point of view that allows the serious student of transformational change and archetypal engagement to really explore what it means to become conscious. It would be excellent for those wanting to explore the Tarot to then work with JUNG and the Native American Moon Cycles, as well as The 27 Club. Brilliant work! This is truly needed in these most interesting times! Thank you Micheal for your contributions to the collective!

I did not realize that this only spoke about the major arcana cards! You are spending a whole heck of a lot of money for a book that is about half the tarot cards! You should just get the "Flight of the Feathered Serpent" by the creator of the tarot cards "Peter Balin". That book goes in more in-depth about all the cards. If you just want to get information regarding the major arcana cards and not to worried about the minor arcana (which I don't know how, it your are doing a reading), then please purchase this book along with the "Flight of the Feathered Serpent". But I don't think this book alone will be any use for you if you want to get definitions and meaning on all the cards. Don't get me wrong the information that is provided in the book is very useful and insightful, but #1 since you have to buy a book for this deck in the first place (because it only comes with a pamphlet that is written in microscopic script) and want to know the meaning of all the cards then this book will not give you what you want. You can spend less money and get what the cards mean and meant to the author and creator of the deck "Peter Balin".

Beautiful book, good condition

Ce livre s'inscrit dans le courant jungien avec les notions d'archétypes. Les arcanes majeures sont représentatives des grands archétypes qui nous habitent et nous font progresser sur le chemin.Belles études en lien avec la culture maya. Mon grand regret, l'auteur s'attache davantage aux symbolismes des arcanes majeures. Dommage que ce livre ne soit pas traduit en français.
