Excellent introduction to Lego Technic models!
My kids and I enjoy building with Legos almost on a daily basis. So I was intrigued to see how the Technic line differed from the traditional bricks. Wow!! Completely different but just as much fun! If you've never played with Technic models, it's more like joints and pipes vs. bricks. In fact, this model comes with a total of five traditional brick pieces (nine if you include the wheels). Most are pivot points, connectors, and gears. Which makes this a completely different experience. Instead of building structures or vehicles, you're building machines with working gear parts. Very cool. The picture shows the one (main?) model designed to be built with this kit: the dump truck. Assembled, it's a tough looking truck with a turning gear knob on top that lowers the dump. It's a pretty cool design in that the dump doesn't "dump" but is almost lowered similar to how a small dumpster is lowered (where it stays fairly parallel the whole time). And the dump part is actually not attached, making it seem even more like one of those dumpster delivery trucks. Putting this together, then seeing how the parts interact was both enjoyable and entertaining.I haven't built the second model - the "pickup" truck (actually, it's more like a towtruck with forks in the rear) - but it looks like it employs a similar mechanism for lowering the backend. The model doesn't feel quite as solid as the brick-based models, but it seems like it would hold up to a lot of play. Once I'm finished enjoying it, I'll turn it over to my kids and see if that hypothesis holds up! :)

DO NOT BUY
Really? I purchased this for $50 and it is labeled as $10.99 … also a damaged box. What a scam!

Excellent Buy
Hi, my name is Cheeseball Mc.Silly (but you can call me Mr. Mc. Silly) and I'm here to tell you about this here lego! First off i'd just like to say that this is a great little toy to gift to a child because it's fun to build and play with. For ten dollars you get a little lego that when put together is a actually a innovative little device. This will be my 5th edition to my technic sets and I have to say I thought Legos were pretty geeky a first so if your a first time legoer then welcome to the club. As i said this is my 5th edition and it is certainly not the least praised. It's an excellent buy for anyone RECCOMENDED. This is Cheeseball Mc.Silly signing off

Technic Mini Container Truck
I was disappointed in the size of the components. They should have been bigger. There could be a better design for the dump bed. It is difficult to keep it on in normal play. I'd like to know the policy for obtaining replacement/spare parts.Otherwise, it was a realistic toy that was enjoyed by my grandsons. A tip to parent. Put the toy together yourself taking notes on orientation, etc. Then dismantle and reassemble with the kids.

Nice tech but not that high.
The media could not be loaded. This is a nice little container truck. It is a 2 in 1 but I got it for the truck because I also own the mini crane which fits perfecty with this little guy (just check out my video). It is a technic but this guy is not that highly technical. It rolls (duh..) and when you turn the gear on the roof of the cab it either raises or lowers the container onto the ground. That's it. It was easy to put together but it is small so that's no surprise. It is smaller in scale than a regular Lego man so it is smaller than say, the city brand vehicles. It does look good and I got it when it first came out for cheap so I think it was worth it. I recommend that if you can get it for a fair price then go for it.

Great for beginners. Fast, fun and easy build
If you are looking to start out on Technic models to see if you or the kids like them, this is a good way to do it.Under 120 pieces, assembles fast and is easy to follow the asssembly manual. It's not too small for a kid to play with once built (about three times the size of a MatchBox car) and the container drop off and pickup mechanism works flawlessly.

Lego Technic Mini Container Truck
This Technic series is another of the LEGO Corporation kits that is high quality, fun to build and educational. It would be a challenge for children under ten tears of age unless they are LEGO groupies and amaze their parents! There are many unique parts associated with this item but overall, it's a nice toy kit. I would not hesitate to recommend it.
