Why does it taste like old oil paint?

I don't know what oil paint tastes like. I smell rancid oil, though. I bought boxes from four different places. They all smell bad, in different ways and in varying degrees. I asked my naturopath about it and she said that Milk Thistle definitely stinks. So, I add other teas in and raw honey

Where are the plants harvested for milk thistle tea?

I really want to buy milk thistle tea that is NOT manufactured in China. I think this tea is sourced from China and then distributed from Utah. I would love to get confirmation that this tea is manufactured in the US. I would love to hear from Altiva on the Amazon site.

I am pretty sure that it is, but it smelled rancid to me & I never used it. They sent a second one that smelled the same & I threw them both in the trash & never bought from them again. I tried Celebration teas & Rose Mountain herbs. They worked fine.
