You are or you aren't nuts about this designer's pots. Have a feeling she mayhave retired. Her plates and cups will be harder to find. This pattern, TunesianSunset, comes in two complimentary styles, One - this cleverly ribbon banded,red, green, blue, yellow, and violet (if you're lucky) - with solid colors painted(cups and bowls) inside. Outside the design seems to be digitally photographedonto the surface, from Zipkin's paintings If you look at the surface through ajeweler's loupe, there is a whole other world of organized color patterns madewith micro dots. Decoration and reproduction is done this way now. For me it'sspecial, it's of-our-time, Their pedigree is good, manufactured by CertifiedInternational in China, but with a fine reputation. Makes it affordable for us andit ain't Wedgewood. Second part of this named pottery is the same joyful colorsused in a 'toss pattern" on plates and one huge pitcher. There is a set of foursalad plates in Tunesian Sunset with her trademark fantasy flowers on andflying off plate edges in happy chaos. The cup and bowl solid colors, each offour colors, background the patterns. There are no other plates like this on thisplanet. Take a loupe to those plates and enter a pixelated digital miniatureuniverse. Extraordinary. This salad plate set is still reasonably available online. I'm sure it's because they look too wild for culinary cowards who prefer only white.……….Yes, can see being disappointed in not being hand painted. But, being a fanof the artist, it would be nearly impossible to have Tunesian Sunset hand painted...……….Wish she continued 'toss' patterns , on bowls and cups. She does fabrics too,and I found a wonderful little carpet of hers. Really believe Sue Zipkln is a genius,a designer to be reckoned with, and she's collectable. 1000stars. Ebb

Love these bowls! They’re beautiful and sturdy. I bought the large size plus 4 smaller ones. They look fantastic on the shelf above my fridge. Great splash of color in my kitchen. They arrived super quick and were packaged well.

I love the size, shape and colors. Good for many uses -ice cream, oatmeal, veggies, etc.As sturdy and durable as one can expect pottery to be.

I like the bowls but it doesn't take much to chip them, in fact, I don't even know how it happens. I probably would not buy these again.

I received these beautiful bowls about 10 days ago. Although they are not hand-painted, I am very pleased with their colorful designs. The colors are as shown on my computer screen. I put them in the dishwasher and hand washed them as well. So far nothing has chipped off. Overall its a pleasure to use them for breakfast.

I love the beautiful bowls but one was chipped and I didn't feel like taking all to UPS and return them.

It is a photographic transfer of a design in the pattern and you can see the digital little squares of the reproduction. I thought it was actually a more authentic design on the dishes but it is like a xerox photo of a design that has been wrapped around the bowl
