Updated: Very durable, excellent for outdoor gardening
Update April 2018: My watering can is still going strong. I leave it outside all summer, which is hard on the roses. I just ordered my second replacement rose.______________________________________________________________________Original review:If you are ever aggravated by, or get irritated at your current watering can, consider replacing it with the Haws. Its so pleasant to use and it does its job just as I want a watering can to.The versatile spout provides good control over where the water goes. You can use it with no spout attachment, which produces a smooth arching stream of water. Use it with the rose pointed up (for an arching waterfall). Or point the rose down to direct a gentle waterfall under a plant's leaves. And there's a pointed spout attachment which produces a downward pointing smooth stream of water. There are even little holders on the can to store the spouts.I love carrying this. When I fill it to the brim the water doesn't slosh out the spout. And there's a lip to prevent water from sloshing out of the top too. The handles are well balanced and provide many places to hold it for comfortably pouring.Like other reviewers say, the rose delivers a gentle shower so you don't flatten seedlings or gouge holes in the dirt. And the long spout is handy for delivering water to the middle of a bed.I haven't found anything I don't like about it. Its so nice I can't even grumble about the price. This sturdy watering can was a bit pricey, but was money well spent. You get what you pay for with the Haws watering can.

excellent for the money
I have been on the lookout for an affordable way to water my Bonsai's now for a while. You can spend in excess of $200.00 for a copper, small volume waterer if you like. It too has a fine rose and a long neck. This 1.5 liter heavy plastic watering can from Hawes is awesome and very much appeals to my sense of budget. My trees are unable to tell the difference in this and a $200.00 one, but my wallet wallet sure can. The brass rose is as fine as the far more expensive ones and the watering is soft and complete and everything the $200.00 one is except expensive. It is very thick plastic, holds a fair amount, has an easy grip handle and anti-slosh top to keep water in the can. I find it a joy to use, and fine waterer and unbeatable for the money. I could go on singing this things praises, but I think you get the idea. I love itPhillip Chancey

leaky bad design
I wrote this letter to Bosemere and Haws over a month ago. Still no reply, so i decided to post a review so other unsuspecting folk aren't as dissapointed."...I was fortunate to own a “Haws” watering can. It was one of my favorite gardening tools until the bottom finally blew out. One of the seams split and I had to retire it after many good years of service. It took a long time before I could afford another one. I recently purchased “5 Liter Plastic Outdoor Long Reach Watering Can” from “Bosemere Haws” through Amazon. I assumed I was buying another high quality product and that Bosemere was the US distributor for HAWS.I was surprised and disappointed when it arrived.• The Rose LEAKS TERRIBLY where it meets the spout. It DOESN’T EVEN FIT THE SPOUT. It actually came with an insert stating “DO not try to force the rose snugly on the spout as it will not fit” This is clearly some manufacturing flaw. The photos show a snug fit of the rose on to the spout and anything else should have never passed quality control. The design is beautiful and my old Haws worked amazingly when watering delicate seedlings this new one just drips everywhere.• The molding is poor quality the seams are sloppy perhaps your tooling needs updating.properly."

It's okay but I wouldn't buy one again.
Bit bulky and awkward. Opening in which to pour the water should be wider. While filling, I have to be careful to not have the water not spill over the side. Appears durable but time will tell. Care must be taken to insure the attachments are very secure on the storage pegs or end of spout. Lost one in the foliage and it took some time to locate it. Perhaps if this was in a color such as bright blue, it would have been easier to locate.

Dramm vs Haws 5 liter watering can video comparison
The media could not be loaded. I have both the Dramm 5-liter watering can (bought less than three years ago) and the Haws 5-liter watering can (bought two weeks ago). Attached is a video comparison. Both are made out of plastic, with long necks, and with removable roses. I find both to be well balanced and excellent for outdoor watering. Rose: The Dramm has a rose that is easy to put on and take off; I find the rose for the Haws difficult to put on and take off. Height: The Haws has a shorter profile, but is wider and includes water in the neck as part of the 5 liters. Construction: The handle of the Dramm is poorly constructed and has broken apart after two years; I cannot vouch for the life expectancy of the Haws, but it seems to have thicker plastic. Recommendation for both: keep out of the weather to extend the watering can's life.

Great Value, Good Design made by a Reputable Company.
One of the most ergonomic, sturdy and easy to use watering cans. I have yet to see a better built variant. This one has fairly thick plastic and holds adequate amounts of water. While carrying the watering can the handles on the top should be positioned a little differently to allow for one handed use. I found that after filling up the can and attempting to transport it you need both hands, this could easily be fixed if they changed the angle of approach for the grip above. How ever once you actually start pouring the water on the garden from that position its very comfortable and spreads the water evenly thin enough to prevent dirt from moving around to much while watering.Would Recommend this "Outdoor Watering Can" to anyone who believe in high quality watering cans to make life easier.

Riego fino
Buena calidad del riego ya que tiene los agujeros de la roseta muy finos. Es perfecto si buscas una regadera decente para bonsai sin irte a una regadera japonesa de esas que cuestan un dineral. Capacidad de unos 4-5 litros.

Haws Annaffiatoio A Becco Lungo, 5l

Good reach among plants and easy to control water sprinkling ...
Good reach among plants and easy to control water sprinkling - sprouts especially appreciate the "light rain". Well made and feels balanced - a pleasure to use. In a small greenhouse, it is the perfect size for me. Just found out that the detachable nozzle can be replaced - recommended!

Not too heavy, well balanced watering can - Recommended
With my Mother turning 83 and still being very active in the garden, she was having great difficulty in lifting the standard 10 litre watering cans as they were just too heavy for her - hence purchasing this 5 litre version for her birthday. It comes with a fine spray rose and a down spout - just perfect for watering tomatoes and a multitude of patio pots containing roses, geraniums, begonias, etc. The weight of the can when full is now just perfect for her, the construction / balance makes it very easy to handle, plus it can also be filled very easily from the water butt. The long reach spout enables her to reach those flower pots that are tucked in a corner, rather than having to stretch and bend to reach them. I would have no hesitation in recommending this watering can - my Mother is delighted with it and feels that she has regained a bit more independence, rather than having to ask my Father to do the watering on her behalf. With regards to the seller - the can was very well wrapped / protected and delivery was very fast.
