how do i cook this ?are there english instructions on bag?

I add it to boiling water and allow it to cook until tender. I basically cook them like ramen noodles. I am on a tteokbokki kick so I have this often. I've ordered this more than once and LOVE IT.

Is there alcohol in it?

No they are just the korean type rice cakes thick round and about 2" long

Are these rice cakes gluten / wheat free?

Pretty sure this is made with glutinous rice.do not currently have a package to check

Do I have to soak the rice cakes in water before boiling them?

Soak in water for about 1 hour to make it softer. It depends on personal preference.
