Saves cable clutter
My car stereo (coincidentally also purchased off of amazon) has a USB input that works with my iPhone. The problem is that the input comes on its own cable, a fairly long one too. With that cable length plus the standard iPhone/iPod sync cable length it worked out to almost 5 feet of cable I had to coil up carefully every time I plugged in my phone. Oh, and my car is a manual. Yes, I did get it tangled in the shifter a few times. This little cable ended all of that quite nicely. It's just what it says it is: a super short iDevice cable. Instead of a haphazard coil of cable, I have just enough to rest my phone in the center console. The only other thing I'll note is that the cable itself is actually somewhat stiff, not nearly as flexible as a standard iDevice cable. This isn't really a problem for my use, but it might be for someone else. That said, it's probably necessary given how small the thing is: a more flexible cable would be bending frequently at the connectors, where it would inevitably break.

Works for Sync
I bought this to reduce the cord clutter in my Ford Focus middle counsel. The middle counsel is quite small and the usb Sync connection is inside of it so my ipod and cord must all fit in there. Although it worked fine with the 4foot or so cord I had before, using this cord saves a lot of space and reduces the mess. I will however say that this cord appears much cheaper is design then my previous cords, which I am guessing to mean cheaper material inside of it. For Sync this is no issue as it is isolated and away from movement inside my counsel and I permanently leave my ipod in there. I would not necessary recommend using this in a busy area where you would be moving the cord around a lot as it may ware out faster than more costly cords of a better quality. Realize that is simply an opinion/observation and not a know fact. It may still work fine for you in any application.Overall, 5 stars strictly for use with Sync.

Excellent stubby cable!
Fit perfectly in the cubby of my vehicle. Charges my iPod nano with no issues. Playback from my stereo is very good with minimal delays. I love this charge cable!

Works great for sync, charge, and audio
The cable works great. It is the perfect size to fit inside the glovebox of my Honda Fit where my USB jack is at, so I can play my iPod through my car speakers. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the cable is set up in such a way that the iPod will face down when it's plugged in to my computer. Overall, I'm very happy with the purchase, and would buy it again.

Great solution to the tangled mess problem.
My iPhone 4S goes through battery power like water, so I had to start carrying my a cable to charge it with throughout the day. After a week or two of dealing with a tangled cord in my briefcase, I wondered if a shorter alternative existed. Enter this neat little cable; simplicity and minimalism. Minus one star because I don't get a satisfying "click" when connecting my iPhone, and disconnecting it is a tad easier than I would like it to be. For the price, however, I couldn't be happier.

50% failure rate
One of the two I bought stopped working after a couple of weeks.Wife and I use them to charge our iPhone 4s'.Plug into one cord and voila, it lights up charging.Use the other, nothing at all.Very confusing ... how can something as simple as a cable break?BUT - I bought a replacement pair from a different manufacturer and one of those failed as well! Finally, I found that I really needed cables about twice as long.

Not Well Made
Purchased for iPod car plug in. Went bad within 3 months. Not worth it.

Four Stars
works as expected and the cord is so short there is absolutely no chance of tangling.
