This is not ¼ inch steel. It is 3/16ths. Other than that its center pin is larger than most retail stores offer. It is a tad bit over 4 inches while opened. Hinge pivots have minimal slop.I took off a star because it is not as advertised in the pictures or description. I wanted ¼ inch thick metal tabs to incorporate into my ¼ inch box lid.

These are heavy hinges and welded up good. They are pickled in oily stuff that needs to be cleaned off but other than that they were good.

This hinges are heavy duty and welded very smooth.

Living in Texas and experiencing THE GREAT FREEZE OF 2021 back in February, I bought a generator. Until recently, it has been in my garage and any time I want to work on something, I have to wheel it out of the way. My intention has been to build a shed on the side of my house as it’s permanent home, but I need to be able to secure it so it isn’t stolen.I (over)engineered a steel rack that acts as a shelf for storage (gas cans) but it can also be lifted up and out of the way if I need to move or perform maintenance on the generator. The rack and folding shelf are made from 2” 11 gauge steel tubing welded to two 1/4” steel flat bar “feet” that are anchored to the concrete slab with 1/2” bolts.Needless to say, the hinges need to be able to handle a lot of weight, considering the folding shelf and three or four 5 gallon tanks of gas. Also, the hinge pins are not removable, which would completely defeat the effort to secure the generator if someone could simply pop them out with a screwdriver.I welded everything together over this past weekend and am happy with the results. The hinges are very heavy duty, welded nicely, and helped accomplish exactly what was intended at a very reasonable price!

I ordered the 4 pair of four inch hinges. They arrived repack by FedEx due the ordinal shipping package was destroyed. One of the hinges was missing so I only received seven. The product is great, I wanted a 4" heavy duty hinge and that is what I got.The shipping department needs for find are better box for shipping these monsters'

Ordered this and Fedex claimed delivery but nowhere to be found.Seller promptly send another at no extra charge to me.This is wonderful customer service and they should be commended for this.I am very happy with the weldable Hinges and they will do the job without issue. Perfect for my needs

I used two of these to support a 7 foot wide gate made out of 2 x 2 heavy wall tubing. Holding ip great no sag just welded them on and they have been perfect.
