Pricey but worth every penny
I purchased this chair while my husband was still hospitalized for a very unexpected but extensive back surgery. The severity left him unable to stand and I needed a chair that was not only comfortable for him but easy for me to maneuver.Being a nurse, I knew what I was looking for and the only chair that came close was this one.The only thing I would caution about is to be certain that the brakes are engaged and the front casters are locked when the occupant is getting in/out of this chair. That probably goes without saying but with only the brakes engaged (like wheelchair brakes) there is slight movement because of the casters. I tested this out before he came home so I would be familiar with the product. We did take down one side of our glass shower door (and put up a curtain) to make it easier to get in /out of the shower. I need to back it in and that is a bit tricky since the casters are on the front - I have to pull a bit to the side to get it positioned properly but it isn't overly strenuous (I am 66 and have no problem doing this). This will likely be along term product in our house and I expect it to last for a long time. The quality is great.

Excellent quality
This chair wasn't too hard to put together. The instruction were clear and I did it very quickly. It is well made, rolls very well and is super sturdy. Very happy with this as a bath chair.

Too high, brakes are unreliable
This seat on this chair is made too tall (high) to comfortably transfer to from a standard size wheelchair or bed. The seat is 24” high, and a standard wheelchair (average) seat height is 18”. It is very hard on the shoulders to pull oneself up and it makes the transfer dangerous so that I can’t transfer independently. The brakes loosen over time and are cheap and flimsy design and construction and break easily.

Great chair! You are at risk of it being not the right size for your needs.
This chair is better if you order it through the manufacturer if you need it customized. I bought this one about a month ago and it won't fit over our toilet. The toilet is a little too wide. My point is that if you think this is going to only be used for showers, it's very good! The other reason you might want to order it custom is to make sure that the seat is padded. The seat's a little hard and uncomfortable if you've lost a lot of weight and you're very bony. That's about the only complaint I have with it! Otherwise, I highly recommend it!

Game changer!
I have progressive MS and try to preserve as much independence as my disability allows. The cost of which is time. Being able to use this chair for my morning bathroom routine saves me the time of transfering from wheelchair to toilet, back to chair, to shower bench, back to chair, and (because I've taken so long) back to toilet and finally back to chair. More importtantly, it saves me the worry, pain, and injury of not making it through one the transfers.

Worthless over priced piece of crap. Do Not Buy
Do not buy. Description of product does not reveal, and thus conceals, that the locking mechanism for the arms of this shower chair cannot safely be operated by one individual. Plus, the design defect is magnified by the use of cheap plastic parts that have come off my chair.I cannot believe the Seller has the audacity to prey upon the handicap community by inadequately disclosing that one person cannot safely use this shower chair. $865 bucks? What a joke.

We tried other brands and just didn't like any of them. I am 6' tall and this one is perfect. I can use it in the shower or over the toilet or in the bedroom. This product was recommended to me by my occupational therapist, she was exactly right. Thank you so much!
