How long does it take to mine 1 Bitcoin?

This question is entirely to difficult to answer...I can tell you a block is found about every 10 min that is worth ~25 bitcoins, but that is split between the people that find the block, if you didn't find/help find it you get nothing! If you did usually its cause your in a mining pool(group) and you get a portion of the bitcoins based on how much you mined...no device that I am aware of today can even come close to finding one of these blocks by itself!

is proper software and a guide to getting into a mining group included with these devices?

No. Is it a good place to start? Sorta. There are helpful YouTube videos that can help you get it setup, but that's as good as it gets. There is no official driver page that I have been able to find either, but I did use drivers for a different USB miner that mostly worked, but did cause many hash fails. If you got the money to throw away just to learn, no regrets. If you want to have things more spelled out, find something more name brand.
