Perfect for my use
I bought this used so that I can have a shelf to put all my tarot cards on. Overall, it meets my needs and wasn't the hardest thing in the world to assemble, but it did require tools. Maybe some people can do it without them, but for me, it made the job easier. Also, a couple of the screws were broken, but because this came used, and I was able to improvise, it's not a big deal. The shelf fits perfectly next to my desk and I'm happy with it. Also the price was good for me and it arrived on schedule, so I'm giving it 5 stars.

This is a disaster….
I have a lot of different brands of cube shelves in my house and I suppose I purchased this thinking that they’re all the same quality because all of the ones I already have are the same. This was not at all the case. First of all I bought this with the intention of mounting it horizontally as I have with others and I didn’t realize that because this was meant to be vertical the shelves are only black on one side and the other side is exposed particle board. I wasn’t too mad at this I just took the time to paint the other sides black and then kept moving along. But then upon assembly I found that two of the shelves didn’t have pilot holes drilled into them to connect them to the side pieces… the backing is also folded in half to fit into the box and when I unfolded it it just ripped in half along the fold. At this point I was angry at myself for painting those shelves because now I obviously can’t return it so I had to commit to the project and fix the shelves and replace the backing with wood panels. After all of this extra work was put into it ox bumped a corner into another table and the black laminate facade chipped right off in a huge chunk so then I also had to cover the side, that was not the horizontal top, with laminate wood. While my end result is actually pretty great I would have been better off building this whole thing from scratch because I basically just bought a box of cheap particle board parts here. 🤷🏻♀️

Very nice shelf
This shelf is really nice, very easy to put together - "no tools needed" except I had to use a hammer to tap the plugs all the way in. Good quality for price - highly recommend.

Decent shelves, chinsy back, need tools for assembly!
So I bought the 5 cube ‘no tool’ shelves because they were the right dimensions for my space. They seem sturdy enough for displaying books and random nicknacks under my lofted bed. for the cost (right around 22 dollars a set when I purchased) I’m pretty happy. The backing board is just laminated cardboard - I would have liked to see something a little more durable but for the price it’s fine I guess. The shelves themselves are made of laminated plywood - expected for the price. There’s some slight damage on some corners of boards but it’s not obvious and I’ll be able to cover them with some black paint with no issues. The instructions clearly say that it should take 1 person about 10 minutes to build and that no tools are required. Both of these statements are untrue. I would like to think that I’m about average as far as my physical strength and assembly skills, and the second shelf took me 26 minutes to assemble (the first set definitely took me longer because I had to read and reread the instructions as I went.)with regard to the tools, I felt that I needed a hammer. A water bottle or book could have also helped in a pinch. With the plastic fasteners, I believe you’re supposed to simply press them into place by hand, since they don’t have proper threads or any way to really screw them down. A more determined individual than I could probably have brute forced them into place with fingers, but I elected to get a hammer and tap them down.Overall, I like the shelves and I think they’ll work great for their purpose, but the guides in the packaging could have been more clear about how to use the fasteners and suggested tools. I wish the back was sturdier, too, but overall I would recommend these for someone needing cheap small shelves.

Not the best, disappointed.
I bought 2 of these to put side by side horizontally. They look ok, they were the size I needed so I kept them. However, there are no screws, it was all plastic "hardware" to put it together. The instructions say 10 mins to put together. Ha. Maybe if you put together these for a living you can do it fast. LOL. It is more like 30-40 mins minimum. The plastic hardware is a bit raised so you do not get a smooth surface. That was disappointing. You can see the top of the white plastic screws sticking out maybe 1/16" or so. Some of the plastic pieces were broken that holds the black flimsy cardboard on the back. I should write for replacements. It isn't too sturdy. If I could have found better bookcases in the size I needed, I would have bought something else. But I was stuck needing the 9" depth. It says each shelf holds 10 lbs. I am sure the shelves will warp someday but hoping they will last awhile. When you take the stickers off on each piece (A, B, C etc), a bit of the finish comes off and I did it slow and carefully but it still didn't help. Definitely not the best quality. Some shelves had chips but it was on the back side, not really seen. I have bought other shelves by Furinno that were better quality. I probably will not purchase from them again. They say no tools needed but I still needed a mallet, used carefully, as I am not strong enough to push those plastic pieces & wood dowels in place. So, I am giving this 3 stars because of the plastic hardware and poor quality. They need to provide real hardware to make this better quality and needs a better finish. A better quality cardboard on back too and not plastic "nails" to hold it in place.

Arrived damaged
Arrived with a scratched shelf and ripped backing. The backing is just thin cardboard. It also says no tools required, but you need a hammer to put the pegs and such in. Definitely not worth $60.

Not very good product
Forget the Marketing, you will need to gather your tools. Cheap plastic screws cannot penetrate wood. The holes were not properly punched so you will have to do it yourself. They say it will take 10 min to assemble: Not the case. By the time you figure out, it is the product that is the problem, you probably will have wasted a lot of time and acquired a few blisters. The Furniture looks good, but does not feel very sturdy or stable, with all the cheap plastic holding the shelves together.

Perfect for toddler’s toys
Happy with the shelf. Not super sturdy but reasonable for the price I paid. The backing cardboard was ripped when it came but doesn’t impact the function of the shelf once installed. Perfect size to display my daughter’s Lovevery Toy collection so that she can access them herself. Can’t comment on durability yet but I’m satisfied with how it looks.
