Great Galt Quality
A great little craft kit to pull out on rainy days or for a school friend birthday party gift. The kit is by Galt which always produce good quality products. Inside the box are a pair of lilac long sneaker/D.M. boot style wide laces. There is a tray of brightly coloured acrylic paints and a brush so you can paint colours on to the metal decorations that have claws on the back to cling around the laces. There is a lot more paint than you need and the little tray of paints have lids which can be resealed so that the paints can be used for other creative activities at another time. There is also an sealed Galt envelope that contains lots of bright coloured beads in star shapes, round and oval shapes that you can thread on to the ends of the laces. Again, there are more beads than you could use, so they can be added to your craft kit to use on other projects such as bracelet or necklace making. You need to thread the laces through a sneaker or boot before threading on the beads or adding the metal decorations as they are too large to go through eyelet holes.

Very cheap nice shoes decoration kit
This is one of the prettiest kits on Amazon and definitely affordable. Comes in a very nice box and contains all the things to decorate a shoe: laces, charms and paint. There are a couple of kits on Amazon, the rest sell charms and laces separately so this is a very nice kit that includes everything.Unfortunately more suitable for a girl than a boy.Great for a gift idea where you don't want to spend too much.Well made, very "plasticky" but very nice.Highly recommended.

Diamonds on the Soles of Her Shoes
My children have a few sets that allow them to make charm bracelets, but this ‘Lucky Laces’ from Galt encourages them to have charms on their feet too. It is not too dissimilar to a normal charm set, but you do get metal beads that have the larger holes. This is to make sure that they can fit through a set of laces. You also get some laces should you have none of your own. Stringing these beads before lacing up won’t work though as you can’t get the charms through the eyelets of a trainer. The added element that this set has is a few larger charms and paints. Although metal, the charms paint well and can look really nice, or in our case, a wonderfully colourful mess. These fatter charms attach at the back and sit on the trainer. They are very effective and really lift this has a set. If you have artistic children that enjoy crafts, these lucky laces will entertain them for an hour or so. They can always restring them if required.

Jazz up little ones shoe laces
This set includes a set of purple laces….Paint brush….5 little paint pots….yellow..orange…pink…sky blue and white…6 metal charms to paintAnd a small bag of plastic…very colourful beads to go onto laces..So the idea is to paint the metal charms…..then design your shoe laces…with the charms and beads…Little ones will enjoy the art work and the end result of this set….Shame there was not more to this….Metal charms and paints are set into a nice colourful card……

Great for 7 year old
This is a fab kit for my creative 7 year old niece. She loves making and painting and despite my attempts to persuade her otherwise, princess is top of her career’s list. She thinks princesses definitely have lace charms (and who couldn’t be cheered by this bright and fun set?)I like the 2 stages to this kit, painting them first, then being able to add them to different laces is great, it also is a good opportunity to learn how to lace shoes or practice those knots! Great encouragement for kids who love their Velcro shoes to switch to laces. We also used the beads on other items, eg to create little key chains and on a lanyard so when they run out of shoes to decorate there are other options!

Fun but definitely for 6 years+
My four-year-old niece was very excited when these laces arrived. You get two large laces (for trainers not shoes) various beads and charms to paint and decorate. She couldn't wait to get at them. That's where it all went wrong. The box says six years plus, and I agree with this. A child under six will not have the patience or dexterity to paint the charms. After a tantrum, I hid the box and painted the charms when she wasn't around. The charms are held in position in the box whilst you paint them and they dry. Also, there is plenty of paint provided. My niece absolutely loved decorating the laces and has rearranged them many times since. A great idea which would make a great gift.

Not a bad kit
This kit contains some metal laces charms which you paint, laces, and some beads. Once you have painted the charms you thread them onto the purple laces although you could just put them on your existing laces The paint was a bit thin even after two coats. It's a fun kit but you could probably find beads you already have around the house and thread them onto your laces!

Passes the time
This is a fun rainy day activity its not going to take alot of time to do but it's a nice easy activity. You get laces in the box along woth some colourful beads. Some charms and paint to add some bright colour to the charms. The laces are a good length and fit In regular trainers.I got this for my niece to do she is 9 and loved it suitable for a good range of ages but younger children would need supervision due to small beads.
