Excellent Supplement
The bulk of the text is spent on system and planet generation along with the generation of adventure opportunities and colonies for players. It is most likely best used to generate planets and encounters before a session because the process is rather involved. A template is provided at the end of the book that allows players to fill in all of the attributes created during the generation process. All of the aspects covered by this book are given extensive detail such as the type of star in a system, the technological level of a colony, or the territories/regions of a planet and their attributes. The Xenos generator and the Encounter generators are the sections I like the most and have been very useful to have as inspiration for the creation of campaigns and locations. The supplement occasionally refers to Rogue Trader: Into the Storm, which is generally helpful to have on hand when creating and populating worlds and may be something to consider when buying this book..

A must have to the space age conquistador.
Your telling me, not only can I rule my own star system/s, but that it's actually expected of me... awesome!I come from the 3.5 generation so while I love the "Just make it up" method, some guidance on how to set things up is always nice, and if FFG is going to go through the trouble of making easy to read tables to help me quickly (quickly is relative in table top gaming) generate entire planets. more power to them!

Definetly a Rogue Trader game masters manual.
While it has a lot of information for the Rogue Trader game master it is less usefull for the player.

Really nice system/planet generation tables. Even if your not going to use the tables they are a great inspiration.

Great pick up for a 40K GM
This is really a fabulous pick up for the GM who wants help in world generation.Stars of Inequity has a lot of detail/tables for creating worlds and populating them, adventure ideas and good old loot to find. There is also 4 pages of explorer equipment. However, to me the best part of this is the rules for colony generation and maintenance. Want to start a research mission, mining, industry, agricultural or ecclesiastical colony? This book will let you do that, and help guide you in it's growth or rapid decay. I'm going to use this a ton for this alone. There is also a few page each on 4 different factions that can be encountered in the Korunus Expanse.

Useful but not essential
The bulk of this strangly named book is taken up with random generation tables. It starts with how to generate a star, from it's colour and gravity, and moves outward, letting you randomly develope planets, asteroids and moons. The populate them, generate random resorces for your characters to uncover and exploite, and ends with what can only be describes as a treasure table for Rogue Trader. While useful to have, especially if, like me, your campaign isn't set inside the Koronus expanse, it doesn't provide anything new, execpt for the overly long winded rules for establishing colonies. Helpful if your party suddenly decide to go off on a tangent, and great as a starting point if you have nothing planned this book is only of use to GM's. Additionally the tables, like most random generation, will need some interpritation if they are to be coherant.

A surprisingly great addon
I didn't have great expectations to, what I thought was a long random planet generator. I was wrong, while the system-creation mechanics are what can be expected, the amount of special planetary and system quirks quite great, and the random loot generator gives possibility to create truly unique xeno and archeotech devices, something I thought was a bit lacking.
