Worthless piece of junk
Sound in or sound out does not matter as no sound is heard at all. 3.5mm audio out is not recognized by this adapter which defeats its purpose all together. It deserves -5 stars.

There's no metal connection INSIDE the thing for the 3.5mm jack to connect to. It's plastic trash that was specifically designed not to work.
