Fine weight yarn
This is a beautiful shiny bamboo silk blend. The colors are vivid and the yarn is well captured in the photos posted in the store, especially the blow out of the 6-ply strands of the yarn. When I ordered the yarn, I looked at the needle gauge and somehow assumed that I was seeing the crochet hook range. So far I prefer using a 3.0 or 3.5 mm hook with this yarn, which puts it in the weight 2 category, rather than DK which is what I had originally intended to purchase. Working in a finer gauge is hardly a complaint. If you really must, it is alright with a 4.0 mm crochet hook, but the stitches have a non opaque structure regardless of stitch used. The yarn is soft yet very resistant to fray. It will untwine which is a challenge if you are a complete beginner, but it is actually a great yarn to use if you are working on your first project at a finer yarn gauge. It is not the yarn to use in your very first project. (If you are a complete beginner, I would recommend a worsted weight yarn or higher - weight 4 and doing an amigurumi project for crochet.). Otherwise, the qualities of the fiber blend (easy care, soft, bright colors), as well as the relative pricing are a lot to love. I will hug the Monkey Plush friend if I ever have the good fortune to meet one in person.

Excellent for Weaving, But With Caveats
I'm a weaver, not a knitter. The yarn was thin, as other reviewers said, so I doubled up on both warp and weft. The finished product (baby blanket) washed well and was incredibly soft. It drapes beautifully and I really love the feel of it.This yarn was strong enough to hold up to the pressure of the warp, but 2 of the 10 skeins had been pieced together with short ends. There were multiple knots, rendering those skeins nearly useless - knotted yarn, especially a really smooth one like this, comes apart on the loom. And nothing is a bigger disaster in weaving than broken warp threads.I was able to use some of the pieced-together yarn as weft for a pillow I was making for myself; i can tolerate the slubs and bumps of the many knots. But i would never use those for an item I was giving as a gift.Even so, the finished blankets made with the intact skeins were a big hit with babies and new parents alike. I'm ordering more because I love the color, the texture and results from this yarn, and am hoping I get fewer defects.

Fingering Weight yarn with beautiful drape
I've made three crochet tops with this yarn and absolutely love it. While the description states this is a light worsted yarn, the yardage (231 yds in 50g) makes it more of a fingering weight yarn. To crochet the Lazy Polka dot top featured in the picture, I used a 3.25mm crochet hook. This yarn is buttery soft, lightweight and creates a beautiful drape. I love making summer tops in this slinky yarn. However, depending on the hook you use it can be a bit splitty. The yarn does tend to pill after a couple of wears. If you intend to wash your piece in the machine, make a swatch and wash that first to account for growth and drape.

Very very thin, soft, seller was cooperative, appreciate that it comes in this bulk for the sweater I'm knitting. Made it easy to find out size of needles etc. will buy again

Really small skeins
The yarn arrived & my first thought was about how extremely small the skein of yarn was. As I started working with the yarn, I was surprised at how soft it was.Since I am crocheting a baby blanket for a really close friend, I wanted it to be perfect. I loved the softness & the color. But as I began to crochet, the yarn split very easily making it difficult to get a clean & pretty stitch.I thought that getting 10 skeins would be sufficient for a baby blanket, but after seeing how small each skeins is, I no longer feel like I'll have enough yarn.On the bright side, since I ordered through Amazon, I know there is a good possibility that there will be more available with a couple days notice.I just wish it was listed about the size of the skeins, not weight or if it had something like a crochet hook in the photo so that we can judge it's size by comparison.I need to crochet slowly & carefully to make sure the yarn doesn't split as I crochet this blanket.Otherwise, the baby blanket should be beautiful.

Great for baby blankets.
I have used bamboo/cotton yarn for years for baby blankets and even forr adult blankets.I bought 10 different colors this time. I like that they come 10 skeins per package. Most of the skeins are one complete run with no splices but the first skein I used of the dark blue had 5 splices! So far none of the others have had more than 1 splice. That same skeln also had a glob of yarn that was a total mess and had to be cut out making another splice. However, none of the other skeins I have used so far are like that. I've used 6 skein each of 4 colors with only that single skein having a problem.Another thing I noticed I'd that it seems the yarn is measured more by weight than length because the darker the color, the shorter the length. I always roll the yarn up into a ball, using a lotion bottle to roll it onto and the OCD in me I always count the number for times I go around the bottle. The range is between 600 and 700 times around. The white has 700 and the dark blue 600. The other colors with less dye were in-between.Anyway, I like the yarn because it's made from renewable sources and no plastic except in the packaging. Bamboo is antimicrobial so these blankets don't get smelly when used for babies. They wash and wear easily. If I knew how to knit clothes for babies I certainly would used this yarn.I've used bamboo yarn for close to 15 years. It's the only yarn I use and I've purchased from this company (via Amazon) for about 5 years or so.The cost is manageable but it's gone up almost double from when I bought (from other vendors) on eBay and had to wait a month for it to be shipped. If the keep jacking up the price, I will definitely go back to ordering from China and waiting a long time for delivery. So, for now I will continue to buy from this company but not if they jack up the price!!!

My favorite yarn!!
Beautiful colours and so incredibly soft, the best yarn I've found for baby items. It washes like a dream with very little shrinkage and the dyes do not run or bleed or fade.

Value for money
The yarn is very beautiful, soft and smooth. Suitable for knitting summer wears. However, yarn is thin and slippery on the needles, so will not recommend for beginner knitters

Soft yarn
It is soft yarn, thread is smaller than the look in the picture, suitable using hook 3 mm. During my work, thread tend to split (separate) if not hook properly, May not be suitable for beginners.

Surprisingly good
I’m new to knitting but what I like about this yarn is it almost feels bouncy compared to a wool cotton blend I’ve used, even though there isn’t much of any stretch to it. Splits less than knitting for olive pure silk and has nice stitch definition. Haven’t worn the top yet but my KFO pure silk pilled badly on the same pattern with only half the yoke complete where this yarn hasn’t pulled and feels nice and soft. The Lacey pattern top felt warm for the few minutes I had it on to check for size, but I can’t comment on how it feels to wear for the day. The army green is a dark hunter green, not brown toned at all.
