Great story and artwork
I don't read comics often, so I certainly didn't know about the characters of Ayo and Aneka before this. I truly enjoyed reading about their beginnings. To see their struggles, both to be good Daro Malaje warriors who serve and protect the royal family and good Wakandan women who learn what it is to love, to learn that love is worth fighting for, and then to fight for that love, was a wonderful thing.I also forsee the reading of more comics related to Black Panther, the Midnight Angels, and the White Tiger - and the enjoyment of much more beautiful art related to Wakandan life.

Beautifully illustrated origin stories
The stories in this volume fill in the back stories of some of the major supporting characters in Ta-Nehisi Coates Black Panther run. If you are a fan that series you will appreciate and enjoy these back stories.

A Beautiful Black Panther/Dora Milaje story
Excellent book telling a behind the scenes story of the Dora Milaje. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and gave a copy to good friend.

I Was Obsessed
I started reading this because a reading challenge I'm doing calls to read a book that has a character with your name. No luck on my first name, but middle name Aneka brought me here. I love this storyline so much. These characters are amazing. It kept me glued. Now I have to read more.

Quality reading
Roxane Gay does great work with the Dora Milaje. It is very relatable to watch people torture themselves over the choice between love and duty.

So much potential...
If this series didn't get cancelled, this would be an EASY recommendation. Great artwork, unique storyline that you won't see anywhere else in comics and the writing backs all of it up. My issue is that:1. The main storyline is really issue 1-4 in this book and issues 5 & 6 are sub plots of new characters (who if I had to guess, would have been integrated into the main story in later issues).2. The story doesn't end with this book. Its a shame because I enjoyed this title. The Dora Milaje is one of the most appealing parts of the Black Panther Universe. The fact that a rich, black king of the most advanced country in the world has beautiful, bad-ass, female bodyguards is amazing and I was pleased to see that this book got to peek behind the curtain to reveal what goes on behind the ranks of the group. This book did a great job of having T'Challa take a backseat and letting the ladies tell their story of Wakanda from a woman's point of view. What is it like being the personal security of royalty, while dealing with your own issues?Again, great book, but the only knock is that you won't get the pleasure of finishing this awesome story. I think if this were to have been released a year later, then it could have survived, but for now, if you're a Black Panther die-hard then give this a read.

The world of wakanda THICKENS
Amazing. Coates’ run is my favourite BP but Roxanne Gay provides a very unique feminine viewpoint on two of the series most endearing characters.

The asset itself is great. One of the better books out this year
The asset itself is great. One of the better books out this year. But the packaging left a lot to be desired. The book is a soft cover and the packaging did not protect it adequately. The book was delivered in a bent condition. This is no way to treat or deliver a work of art.
