Simply brilliant design for your 911
bought this for my 2006 Carrera S Convertible. This product is simply brilliant, very well made and the installation took less than 5 minutes. If it fits the year of your Porsche you will be pleased. They include tools, screws, all you need is your front license plate.

Inaccurate Advertising
Part was made with no thread pitch so it absolutely will not fit the Porsche it was advertised to fit. Getting tired of false advertising and misleading content on Amazon.In the photo the left item is the part purchased on the right is the factory tow hook with the proper thread pitch for the attach point.

Does not fit 2018 Porsche 911
The item description says it fits Porsche 911, however the threaded rod that connects to the tow hook is too short. Nicely made product overall, but unfortunately it does not work as advertised.

Good value plate holder, but one issue
This license plate holder is a solid value, but the attachment point between the stud and the backing plate is weak. So the plate holder tends to get rotated out of position. It's impossible to torque the screw down enough to keep it from rotating. So you end up having to reorient it because it gets bumped.

Just buy it.
I purchased for my 996. Remove the front bumper clip. Make sure to put grease on end that goes into tow hook thread (or lithium grease) so it doesn't get seized in place. You can choose how far in or out the plate would be with the different slot selections. The backing plate is not as big as the license plate but doesn't need to be. Install was so easy and it looks great. So good I purchased another one for my other 911. Make sure to tighten the one bolt to tow hook very tight. I've had no issues with mine coming loose. Even if it did, I'd just by a lock washer if needed.

Simple and works
Perfect for my 2006 997. Install is quick and easy and it secures my license plate perfectly. This is a better low cost option to the more expensive versions of seemingly the same thing.
