Great
These are my new favorite brushes, they hold their shape well. The bristles are slightly longer than similarly priced brushes, so they hold more paint.

Worth the price
Good brushes , decent price. All holding up well so far. Have only used with watercolor. No issues

Nice brushes
I have started a beginners water color class. The only brushes I had were the one from my kids. I’m very glad I bought this set. My teacher recommended a # 12, # 10 and # 4 which were all included plus more sizes. I have been experimenting with the color chart and the different sizes of brushes. I think taken care of these will last many years to come.

Brushes
Nice brushes for the price, a few hairs came out while painting my canvas,(not too bad)....Nice point on them to get into small areas. I would buy them again.

For $10, in 2025, these are of high quality!!!
Transon 8pcs Round Watercolor Paint Brush Set Goat Hair for Watercolors,Acrylics,Inks,Gouache,Oil and Tempera (on sale for $9.99 USA)Reviewed March 15, 2025I don’t know if the set I got is the same one as those with terrible reviews, but I must have gotten the good batch because this set is excellent! I even compared the size 4 with my two of my best Princeton brushes, Velvetouch and Aqua Elite. The Aqua Elite is of course in a class of its own and remains my favorite but it’s also more expensive and one brush can buy you one set of the Transon. I tested them out with watercolor paints.Ok here’s the breakdown:1. No shedding even after shaking the brushes in water to rinse off the gum/glue protecting the bristles.2. Pointy. Each brush has a good point, and even the size 16 can create fine lines! (See bottom of photo)3. The brushes have a good snap, meaning they return to their original shape unlike squirrel hair or other natural animal hair that are very soft.Very important: the bristles return to their original point - that can only mean they bristles were properly formed. Again, see photo.4. They are not the thirstiest brushes, like the Princeton Neptune, but it’s just the right kind of water volume, especially for detail work. The larges sizes have big “bellies”’and they do hold a lot of water - perfect for washes or for fine, long lines like reeds, branches, ocean waves, trees, etc.5. Since I haven’t used them over time, I don’t know yet how long they will keep their points or if they will start shedding after a while.6. If you receive anything less than what I described, then it’s not the same batch and you are either getting a fake set or they are a dud.

Fantastic Brushes for a Fantastic Price!
Fantastic budget friendly brushes! This is the 3rd set of Transon brushes that I purchase and enjoy using them all equally! They hold water and paint very well, easy to blend with and fill larger backgrounds. The smaller sized brushes allow me to make the thinnest, daintiest lines! I've haven't experienced any bristle loss with either set and I've had the champagne set for over 2 years and their synthetic gouache brushes for about 4.... and they're still durable and going strong. Plus, the black handles look sleek and elegant next to my work in pictures! I highly recommend Transon brushes to Artist's of all levels and mediums!I'll include natural light pictures in my review. I used the no.5 for the leaves in the picture.

They are a nice variety and hold a lot of water.
I bought these a long time ago when I all of a sudden wanted to learn how to paint and rushed out to get anything I needed and wanted. These were my first set of brushes. Since then I've gotten other kind of brushes and have noticed that these loose their bristles a lot. They hold a lot of water but can be really soggy. The sizes are great, and they hold the paint ok. Being said, I still use them but prefer other brushes. They are great to have as a back up though.
