I bring a lunch to work almost every day and have tried various types and sizes. I'm at a point when I really know what I want, a light lunch carrier that can hold my lunch and snacks that I can attach to my backpack and store in my backpack when I'm done. Am I asking too much? Let's see how this Built tote fared:PROS- Fits more than it looks since it expands on the bottom. I can fit my morning snack (yogurt), my lunch (decent sized container of leftovers or two sandwiches and some chips), and my afternoon snack (banana).- Heading into work, I clip the tote's handles on my backpack and can't even tell it's there. Once I'm done, I put the entire thing inside my backpack.- Keeps food cold enough until lunch time, usually about 6 hours. I don't put the tote in the freezer at all prior. I just put a little ice packet in with my food.- It's neoprene and polyester so it's very light and durable. The stitching and zipper are sturdy. Seems like this will last quite a few years of everyday use.CONS- Not meant to keep things icy cold all day; good for keeping things from being gross by lunchtime- Food can get crushed, I use a sandwich box since I don't like smushed bread.- Even though I got the black one, it still looks a little feminine to me.OVERALLI've been using this for a few weeks and so far, I love it! It does everything that I need it to. Great buy!

I bought 2 of these for my kids lunch and they are too small. The 5 stars are because the bag itself is amazing. great quality, strong zipper, clearly durable and beautiful. BUT is a SNACK TOTE, which means 2 items max. My kids take a thermos, a small container of fruit, chips and a snack bar for an 8 hr day. Thankfully, their water battle goes in their backpack. A small themos plus any one of those items fits fine, any more than that does not. And forget the ice pack.Bottomline: if you are using this for a SNACK (TWO ITEMS) this is perfect. Anymore and you need to go up a size. by the way, the measurements are taken across the entire length and height, so when you subtract the height of the handle it is only 7 inches tall which tapers at the top.

I have been looking for a very long time for this size lunch bag. This is called a "mini" snack bag, but it easily holds a bottle of water and some snacks. This is the perfect size for my needs and I really like that the zipper (very sturdy) goes in an arch instead of straight across, thus giving that extra bit of room in the bag. Very lightweight, great pattern, and fits easily in the refrigerator. Highly recommend!

It's good plus cute. The polka dots are a lot brighter pink than shows in the photo so this is not the most conservative choice for the office. My husband has the larger one in black which is a little more useful but the mini holds a sandwich, soda, apple and small cool pack which works for me. Would not hold a salad container. I like the fabric much more than our kids' insulated lunch boxes.

Was looking for a small lunch box to fit in my bag when taking my son on outings. Didn't want something that looked too "kiddy". This fit the bill perfectly. We've now had it for over a year and are still using it daily. It easily fits inside a diaper bag and I am able to access the lunch tote without removing it. I had read some reviews about it being small but it's the perfect size for what I was looking for. It holds a water bottle, sandwich, a small bag of crackers and a few little fruit/veggie packs. I have spilled milk, food etc. on it and was able to clean it easily. I turned the bag inside out and ran under water gently rubbing when needed. I set it out to dry and it's as good as new. I honestly couldn't ask for anything more from a lunch tote.

I got tired of the lining of my insulated lunch boxes cracking and getting yucky. A co-worker had one of these and I thought it was an awesome thing. It is quite streatchy and if it gets spilled on I just toss it in the washer with my regular laundry. There were complaints that it smelled of tires which isn't surprising since it is a rubber based product. One wash and the smell was gone. My only complaint is the size. The dimensions given include the handle, so the actual inside dimension is about 3" smaller than those given. This size is more of a snack size as it has a bit of trouble holding a 2 cup rubbermaid container. The gourmet getaway lunch tote is more of a manageable size for every day use, the relish lunch tote is a bit big for every day use but does hold a 5 cup rubbermaid very well with a bit of room to spare.

this is the second lunch box that I have by this brand. They are good sturdy lunchboxes. I bought this one after comparing the measurments to the first one I bought, thinking that they were the same size. The first one I have is the perfect size but its got flowers on it and im not making my husband take that to work. This one is about half the size of the first and I was very disappointed. I have to be very crafty about fitting his lunch in the darn thing. The one redeeming thing about it is that its a bit stretchy so that helps. I'd say if you are looking for a small kids lunchbox buy this. If you are looking for an adult lunch box, stick with this brand but don't buy this one.

My son was really picky about his lunchbox. He did not want something with characters on it. In kindergarten he had the BUILT NY lunch tote that had the water bottle compartment separate. Then, in 3rd grade we switched to this one, and it has been great. It has enough room for all of his lunch and a water bottle. It is soft, so we use lunchbot tins inside to keep sandwiches and snacks safe.The lunch box holds up to abuse, leaky food, and my son throwing it around. I can put it in the wash and it still looks great. His younger sister asked for one too. She got the polka dot and she loves it. We are so happy with the Gourmet Getaway!
