Doesn't work
I bought this sim kit because the brand new phone I bought for my daughter from Amazon had a sim card already in it but apparently the sim was expired so I ordered a sim kit and even if hasn't worked so now I have to return it and get a refund but that still doesn't help my dilemma of finding the right, actually working, sim card for her phone. Very disappointed and alittle agitated.

I purchased this for my au pair who came to the US with her Chilean phone number and SIM card. We swapped out her existing SIM card to give her a US number and data, text, and calling plan. The monthly plan I chose is very affordable, and the service works well.

Uses T-Mobile network, has WiFi calling
I purchased this SIM kit for Simple Mobile service and put it in my Sony Xperia XZ1 Factory Unlocked Phone - 5.2" Full HD HDR Display - 64GB - Black (U.S. Warranty). I had formerly used Virgin Mobile, Cricket, Boost Mobile and AT&T prepaid service at my location, but wasn't happy with any of them for their lack of WiFi calling as a feature with these services. **ATT said they had it, but when I signed up and got home I found a notation on their website that prepaid plans did not include this feature - despite being told they did in the store. ***At my rural location, I found all the other carriers mentioned did not maintain a strong cell signal, thus WiFi calling would be helpful.I put the Simple Mobile SIM in my phone, it was immediately recognized and ported my existing number over from ATT. The process was all done on the Simple Mobile website, although you can do it from your phone by following the prompts. It took longer than expected to port my number - about 36 hours - which was a surprise as with the other carriers it had taken no longer than an hour.Simple Mobile works great at my location and I was able to enable WiFi calling on their website with ease. The company uses T-Mobile towers and reception at my home is excellent.NOTE: I did need to change the preferred network type from WCDMA (preferred/GSM) to LTE(preferred)/WCDMA/GSM in the Settings on my phone to be able to use the 4G LTE signals in my area. Otherwise, the default was a 3G network.I purchased a Simple Mobile card at a local store for one of their monthly plans, and establishing my account with Simple Mobile was easy and all I had to do was scratch off the back of the card and enter the code to get service for 30 days.I like that Simple Mobile's SIM Kit was cheap and worked well to get me the cell and data service I wanted, at the right price. The only reason I take away one star is for the overly long (by comparison) time it took to port my existing number from ATT to Simple Mobile. If you have an unlocked phone that is Wifi calling capable and good T-Mobile coverage, this service provider is worth a try!---------------------UPDATE: 12/4/17I've been using Simple Mobile service for about 3 weeks now and I am loving it!It's fast, reliable and inexpensive. By using the Simple Mobile website to set up autopay, I'm saving money per month over buying reload cards, and using the Simple Mobile app I'm able to easily monitor my account including data usage.I like the features of wifi calling (although it's not been necessary to use it which is surprising) and web hotspot to allow other devices to use my cell data on the go. Messaging had been an issue with ATT, but I have had no issues sending photos, texts, and video messages using Simple Mobile.I'm happy that I didn't pay extra and go with T-Mobile as with Simple Mobile I'm getting their service at a cheaper rate. Just bought two Simple Mobile locked iPhones for my neice and nephew for Christmas and I'm confident they will enjoy the service too.Do your research for your area and if you have T-Mobile coverage, the Simple Mobile SIM should work in your GSM unlocked phone without issue.
