UPDATE: Going strong! So far so good!
2nd update:I got another 91 washes in (I was putting off refilling okay lol). But when I cracked the egg open, I could barely fit 1 bag in, let alone the recommended 3 every 70 washes. The little balls were of various sizes and I could see a difference between the very first set and the first refill surprisingly. Never noticed a difference in cleaning power, even being 20 washes late for a refill, but as stated above, I clearly had enough to not have to worry. About 95% of my washes are normal cycle, cold water, take egg out before throwing clothes in dryer, let it sit atop the washer to dry while dryer is going and then putting it back in the cabinet. Maintaining my 5 star review, no doubt about it!!Update:I have been keeping track of the number of washes and I've hit 72 now. The half of the egg on the left is the previous white pellets + the black ones, and the right side are the 3 new bags I'm putting in. They've shrunk down to about half of the original size, as stated in the instructions for when you'd need to refill them. I haven't noticed any difference in cleaning power over time, but maybe with the next load, we'll see! I'm normally washing my clothes in cold water, never forget to pull the egg out and accidentally have it in the dryer, and leave it atop my washer after the last load to dry. All in all, very satisfied with my results!I've had this product for a few months and do ~3-7 loads of laundry a month (singular person). I've been tallying each load that I've thrown the egg into, and I'm at 43 and the beads are definitely smaller but still there. I got the unscented version, and for the dryer I use wool balls (very occasionally scented with a few drops of essential oils), and my clothes come out smelling nice and clean every time. I haven't noticed any difference in cleaning power from when I was using name brand liquid detergent, or really any other difference. So I like that I'm using a more eco friendly option, much easier to transport when moving, easier to just throw into the washer and be done. I'll continue to update with where I'm at in the tallies, but it might be a few years before I can get through all 720 promised loads hahaha

Yes, you should purchase this product
We purchased the EcoEgg for Christmas 2022. It is nearly 2.5 years later and I’ve just opened our last refill packet and poured it into the egg. My family has sensitive skin and eczema and this has been a great product for us. Plus no more wasteful big plastic jugs of detergent! Definitely recommend this product. I’m ordering more refill packets now!

These should be handed out the day everyone turns into an adult
I was given an Eco Egg as a gift 2.5 yrs ago. I have a gluten allergy and a rare neurological disorder, and I wanted to decrease my inflammation and break outs from gluten in commercial detergents. I also wanted something that is not toxic for the waterways. I run a small lifestyle company that is committed to being ECO friendly and we only use organic and natural ingredients in our products. I felt like a fraud with my commercial detergent. I could not afford Seventh Generation with 3 small kids and company laundry too. I also did not have the time to make detergent out of soap nuts every week. I already make several botanical infusions for my company products and I did not want to spend my time making laundry detergent, so I was relieved to receive this thoughtful gift. Well last week I ran out of white pellets after 2.5 years of washing. So I ordered a new Egg set for myself and gave my daughter the old one with a refill pack.I absolutely love this product. I drop organic lavender oil once a week on the pellets and I use baking soda for tough stains. I have three kids, dogs, and a company. I do a lot of laundry every day. The laundry never stops. I spent $40 on laundry detergent every 2 weeks.. I have not bought detergent in 2.5 yrs. I have saved thousands of dollars.Things I wish someone told me:1. Clean clothes don’t smell like anything. Use a good quality essential oil, like lavender or lavender & ylang ylang if you need a scent2. Loads must be smaller and need more water (a x-small load I run on large load)3. Darks fad less4. No more crusty armpit white undershirts from my husband. For some reason detergent makes his undershirts turn yellow and stiff when it comes in contact with his deodorant. It is super gross and I used to turn them into rags and throw out the crusty parts. So I am saving $$$ from throwing out less undershirts.5. Baking soda or natural laundry soda is needed for stains like blood, grass, or markers. It will get out the stains. Even old stains come out. Seriously it has extended the life of all my clothesBottom line it is worth every penny. Just buy it. It saves you so much $$$ and helps the environment

Nice
I personally really like this. I like the idea of no chemicals and no big jug or box to throw away or recycle. It gets my clothes clean and that way really matters.

Saves you money!!
I waited to write a review. I've been using close to a year now. I absolutely love this little egg. My clothes come out clean. Great little product. I've recommended to all my friends. I was using washer sheets, but this is even more convenient and does the job.
