I own a few arc lighters (all vary by design). Overall, this is one of the better/more versatile ones that I'm very happy with. There are some questionable construction decisions but for the price, it's a very good lighter.Pros:- Electrode design does not restrict what you can light. This lighter is capable of lighting just about anything including thicker items like cigars. Compared to many other designs, this alone makes it worth the purchase.- Finish and weight are nice- You can hear the beam when activated but there is no high pitched whine like many other arc lighters have- Charge/activation light in addition to button illumination is a nice touch- Price is low/moderate compared to other arc lighters. Good price/value ratio (in my opinion).Cons:- Main on/off switch located on the bottom (this could just be preference). I understand why they added a switch but it is an extra step when trying to light something. The cap really should be the safety mechanism and switch on/off the main power when opened/closed.- The cap design is flimsy. It is not spring-loaded and flaps around easily. It is a simple hinge with two magnets (one to keep it closed and another to keep it open). The magnets are very weak and the cap gets in the way a lot because it doesn't always stay open.- For the size, I expected better battery life- The rounded design does not make as comfortable to pocket as a flat design (just personal preference)Overall, the electrode design and price makes this lighter a good purchase. The cap and on/off are a nuisance that I hope they correct in a future iteration of this product.

Like this lighter, how ever I believe if the electrodes were a little farther apart and the arc lengths were a little longer, it would be more effective especially when lighting a pipe. Also if the lid could flip from the side, it would make it easier to hold while pressing the button.

Pleasantly surprised with this electronic lighter. The design of the open-ended double arc makes it usable for lighting items other than just cigarettes. Battery life is good and being rechargeable is a nice feature. Highly recommend!
