Mafia Mistress: An Italian Dark Mafia Romance (The Kings of Italy, Book 1)

Good but lacking
So this story starts with The FMC who lives in Canada with her father and her twin sisters who are 16. She just turned 18 and Her father is in the mafia but she is somewhat sheltered from the lifestyle. The lifestyle. It starts out with her with her and her Boyfriend who she's not into her house. Well She finds out that day that she has been set up with an arranged marriage marriage and she tries to run but It's caught before she does and forced to move to Italy To marry the MMCs son.. You find out throughout the story that their circumstances going on and neither of them want to get married to each other and they have more of a sibling relationship. Some more things happen and then she essentially becomessentially becomes the MMC Mistress Now there's going to be some spoilers below. So FMC Was pretty good and somewhat and somewhat rebellious in the beginning by asking but as the story goes alongShe disposed that out the window and I really wish that she had leaned into it in the story because it makes this story just like every other mafia story.A few examples of this are when her father finds out that she became the MMC's Mistress. He disowned her but throughout the story she still kept talking about going back to Toronto. It didn't make a lot of sense considering she had no money ano money and had nowhere to live if her father disowned others disowned her. That also came to another thing in the story the story where MMC gave her save her his credit card with no spending limit no spending limit and all she did was go and buy things like lingerie and food. But then she was also talking about constantly trying to run away. She should have did more I've did more with that money and she would have had money to be able to leave or at least live on. She could have pulled money from that account and put it into a secret account And actually made some sort of attempt to escape for real. Then G the the MMC's son's storyline was a little unrealistic considering thanks he used the nightclub as a place to rendezvous with his lover. So you're telling me a club that is full of people that are in his dad's organization didn't realize that he was With his lover out the back fire escape all the time? I also did find that the story was very repetitive and it probably could have been cut down a but I also did find that the story was very repetitive and it probably could have been cut down a but I will still be reading the 2nd book and then enzo and Gias story

Okay Read
3.00 3.50This book wasn't a bad novel but was pretty standard age-gap Mafia genre when it came to the 18 year old h, Frankie and the much older Don, Fausto. I'm pretty critical of this genre because I have read allot of this genre over the years and have seen patterns emerge whereas authors will merely change up the characters etc., writing stories that are basically the same. It lacked a good backstory for each character which is necessary in stories such as these. They help define the plot/characters and gives the reader insight into each character's motives .My rating is based upon the following:Pro's3.5 stars for originality; aka the gay son of the Don. That was a nice touch.3.5 stars for the writing. It wasn't bad. There were a few typo's/spelling issues but nothing that changed the meaning of the story. The story, except for the timeline flowed well.3.5 for making Frankie a very feisty, mouthy character instead of turning her into a complacent idiot even when faced with adversity. Her character as well as Guilio's character was the only reason I finished this book. Fausto's character was a complete contradiction throughout most of this book.3.5 The whole "find a wife for your son" theme is pretty basic in this genre, but the father of the son taking said "fiance" for his whore/mistress was a nice touch.Con's 1.0 stars - putting a barely 18 year old girl with a ruthless mafia don that was twice her age. I am not a fan of throwing young girls into the lion's den due to daddy dearest's mistakes, although this is a "go to" theme amongst mafia genre writers. They don't have the life experiences or maturity to handle the crap that they are faced with.I am not a fan of insta-love. It reminds me of a high school tryst. Frankie was strong until "sex" took center stage. I hate to see any female character go from strong to a pile of "goo" because the H's cock is is "so big" and his dirty kinks become the h's passion. These girls usually have very little if any sexual experience and literally go from 1-100 when it comes to submitting to the H's kinks and dark sexual desires. It's bad enough that this genre demeans the importance of the female characters in these stories, but the whole insta-love thing is too immature and childish for an "adult read".1.5 The time line was off. The story line and time line didn't add up as the story evolved. At some points days had past while at others periods in the story week's past, but never equaled the actual months that had past.1.5 - 1.0 I was not a fan of Fausto's characters. Frankie's character was the reason I kept reading this book. Fausto was a typical, domineering over-the-top Don who forced sex on a young girl (because he lusted after her), treated her like crap and then wanted her to submit to him and fall down his "rabbit whole" of dark sexual kinks in just a few weeks! Really, how about treating her with some respect and wooing her into complacency instead of playing a terrible rendition of Tarzan. Men need to learn that you catch more "flies with honey" than you do with physical and mental torture when it comes to women. The final straw that tanked this character besides the fact his personality was a "train wreck" and was all over the place was the fact he knocked up an 18 year old girl. Blaming Frankie and calling her a "traitor" by books' end, for not telling him that Guilio was gay, was an big "eye roll" and a middle finger to Fausto's character. That did it for me....he got the prize for being the biggest a......ss in this book.

Interesting Story
This was interesting. Fausto finds his son a bride but ends up falling for her. Franchesca and Fausto definitely have chemistry, they were hot together. The story was interesting, i like that she was strong and stood up against him.

Talk dirty to me in Italian
✨Mafia Romance✨Son’s Fiancee / Fiancee’s Father✨Enemies to Lovers✨Forced ProximityMila is a new-to-me author and she did not disappoint! I love a good mafia romance and this one is spicy, dominating, and deliciously filled with dirty Italian talking. I ate it all up in one sitting and to find out there was a cliffhanger.. EVEN BETTER! It may not be a popular opinion but I LOVE A CLIFFHANGER because you know what.. it means there more to the story and who doesn’t want more!! I definitely don’t want this story to end just yet.Fausto and Frankie together is spicy hot!! Frankie was suppose to be marrying Fausto’ son by his decision but wants to keep her to himself as his mistress. The feistiness of Frankie and the hotheadedness of Fausto loads this story with lots of hot passion and I’m here for all of it! I think I may have learned quite a few Italian words from this book too hehe Talk dirty to me in Italian pleaseeee… I can’t wait to see what happens next!

Great book
The story has a great plot line and has many twists and turns. It leaves on a cliff hanger. Gotta go read the next book right now.

Meh
Another book that book tok recommend like a good one but is really bad the end.How do I start? I hate surprise pregnancy trope, the miscommunication one. And everything was good, the spicy is good, the dirty talk was very cool. But with the other ones I am very upset, because I spected by allot of this book, but it was meh at the end.

🖤 Fausto & Frankie 🖤
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/6.🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️/5.Well Fausto was a douchebag there. I expect some type of grovel as well as him saving her. The jury is still out on him. He’s not a bad guy but his views of the world is wrong… he’s reaping what he sow but I’m looking forward to see how this mess is gonna resolve and I’m also looking forward to Giulio’s book.
