HP 27-inch FHD Curved Monitor with AMD Freesync Technology (27b, Black)

So far, so good. This monitor is a beautiful upgrade for a very sensible price. I must say, I never thought I would see the day where a curved-screen monitor was below the $250 mark. So, purchasing it was a no-brainer for me.This monitor is fairly large, so I wanted to be sure that it would fit on my studio desk without issue. Fortunately, it worked out well. For the most part, I am at the computer each day. I surf the web, do some work, watch some YouTube videos (who doesn't), play some games, and have this computer as the base for my in-home studio as well. Although my previous 24" monitor worked just fine, I felt the need to push the size just a bit more because of the number of VST plugins that I am having to use sometimes. With the larger size monitor, just about everything fits without any major issue. So that's nice.Upon opening the box, the monitor is well-secured within the packing, and removes fairly easily. The screen protector packing was a bit stubborn at first, but eventually slid out without much of a hitch. Set up is very straightforward. The monitor included an HDMI cable, but I decided to go with a DisplayPort cable for this unit. Attach the base, plug in the port cable and power cable, and everything is a go. The monitor comes with display drivers and a monitor software. I tried both. It's useful to have the display drivers specific for the monitor, but I deleted the monitor interface software because it was a RAM hog and was essentially useless. No real need for it.I quickly changed the setting from 60Hz to 75Hz from within Windows Display settings in Control Panel. This allows for a bit easier look to the unit overall (at least for me).The control settings on the monitor itself are a bit of a pain, but you get used to it quickly. They are located on the RIGHT rear-back of the unit near the edge. If you pull up the instruction guide, it quickly shows you what each button does. Setting it up after that is fairly simple, and you can save to a "Custom" setting with complete ease.Text/Type is clear and easy to read and not too fatiguing on the eyes. Colors pop well, and gameplay is smooth and seamless thanks to the internal AMD FreeSync Technology. I've previewed a handful of games including Fortnite, Tom Clancy Rainbow Six, FarCry 5, Metro, Resident Evil, and Dying Light. All play smoothly and without issue.Pros: Great viewing range, clear and accurate display of colors, smooth motion in high-rate and action games, lots of space to work with, and has a beautiful look overall.Cons: Control panel buttons on BACK of unit. Would be better under front edge, but hey...that's just me.I would highly recommend this monitor to anyone looking for an affordable upgrade, needs larger size, and likes the idea of curved-screen view. At $225 that I paid, it is a great deal!

I use two of these monitors (dual setup) at work and absolutely love them. As others have mentioned, it took a little time getting used to the curved displays (maybe 10 minutes?). The display quality is fantastic and set up was very easy. Resolution, color, and brightness all meet or exceed my needs. I will likely purchase more of these for other users in our office going forward.

I like everything about this screen. I am visually impaired and seldom say that about monitors. The curve is especially helpful for up close viewing because it causes more of the image to be about the same distance from the eyes. If you view a flat screen up close, the images on the sides are further from your eyes than the image in the center. This adds to eyestrain. If I were to change anything, I'd give it a bit more of that curve, especially on the far sides, which still extends a further distance from the eyes. It is still much better than a flat screen and the brightness can be adjusted for light-sensitive needs. It also has a blue light reduction option. Overall an excellent Product.

I'd like to preface my review with saying: This is not a bad monitor. If you're not that picky, this isn't a bad choice.My biggest issues with the monitor are:1. The curve. I remember hearing how cool and useful curved monitors were for some reason, and I bought one. Realistically, I don't notice a difference. It seems like a regular monitor to me, and even when I actively look to notice the curve, it doesn't feel any more "ergonomic" than my other monitor, which is a regular straight monitor.2. The picture quality. Comparing this to my older ACER 23in monitor, the picture quality is pretty weak. The colors aren't very sharp and look almost faded in some ways. If you're doing any color-sensitive work (pretty much anything artsy, as art made on this monitor will look slightly different if viewed on other monitors) I heavily recommend you look elsewhere.All in all, aside from those gripes, the monitor has lasted me about a year thus far with no issues at all, and seeing as I do not do any color sensitive work, it does work well as a primary monitor (with the smaller as a secondary monitor).

This monitor worked fairly well for about a year. There was some graying around the edges, but the colors were good and the images sharp. It seemed a good value. It turns out it wasn't. I expect something like this to last longer. It was little more than a year old when it stopped working. I turned on my computer yesterday and the screen stayed black. First, I thought it was the computer, but it worked fine when I brought it in to the local repair shop. I came back home and connected the monitor to my laptop. The screen remained black.

This monitor is beautiful and the screen quality is excellent. However, nowhere in the description does it point out that it does not have speakers, webcam or mic. I only discovered that when I paid a computer support person to help me and he discovered that, because it is marketed as great for gamers, it is missing these three things that some of us (of a certain age, who have had personal computers and monitors forever) thought came with a monitor. I have spent $75 on speakers and a webcam/mic gizmo that hangs off the side - when I could have spent the same on a crackerjack monitor with what I needed. Lesson learned, I guess.

El monitor tiene un diseño muy bonito y con bordes muy delgados, sin embargo tuve que hacer muchos ajustes para poder tener una imagen decente en colores aunque la verdad quede muy a gusto con el resultado final , si tengo que decir que vino con unas fugas de luz que al hacer la configuración desaparecieron casi del todo pero pues no dejan de estar presentes e hizo que no quedara satisfecho del todo, aun asi es un buen monitor, solo por ese detalle no doy 5 estrellas

Unfortunately I threw the original box away so I could not return it. Only a couple of days after getting it I noticed the upper right hand corner of the screen was separating from the back and there were also a couple of dead pixels!I gave it away!!! Don't buy this monitor, you will be disappointed.

Esta es la segunda vez que devuelvo este monitor, la primera vez el display se despegó en menos de una semana en la parte superior, ahora tardó un poco más, pero volvió a pasar, es una lástima porque la imagen es sorprendente pero la construcción del producto deja bastante que desear

Tiene una definición muy buena, con colores y ajustes adecuados para lo que se vaya a hacer, ya sea jugar con una consola o trabajar. La experiencia inmersiva se siente nada más al ubicarse bien frente al monitor.
