Elough Upgrade 3rd Generation In-ear Earphone with Microphone (Mic) for Samsung Apple iPhone 5 6 (Gold)

When I first plugged these into my Nexus 6, I thought, wow, great mids & highs but thin on bass. But I'd read reviews on other earbuds with these types of silicon donuts that said they need to fit deep and tight. So I installed the larger sized donuts, jammed them in my ears, fired up my music player and WOAH. THESE THINGS ROCK! With no EQ, they are awesome -- better than my old JBL buds that got lost on a flight recently. Tried them with a variety of music from AC/DC to Aimee Mann to trance to country. Crystal clear highs, well-defined mids and solid, clean bass.Checked out the microphone quality and it was just fine. Build quality seems good too. Machined aluminum bodies with some kind of strange reinforced wires. More on the wires. From the photo, it looks like some kind of cloth or tweed covering but it isn't. The physical conductive wire looks like it's hiding inside a black internal sheath that's wrapped with some sort of criss-crossed fiber and then coated with a layer of clear rubber. I've never seen anything like it. In fact, I put it under my digital microscope to get a better look (picture attached). Note that from a normal eye distance, the cables look sort of a grayish tan due to the wrappings.What would make these better? I think slightly stiffer cables and it would be nice if they came in other colors. That cable does look funky. Time will tell if these hold up under use.

I love these earphones bu stopped working once I lend them to my teenage son. Then again, I kept them nicely coiled in their case in my purse ad only used them during my lunch break. So, if they will not get heavy use or be yanked around....they will work great

Sounded great until the plug started having issues, plug jack is a straight jack and my life needs better use for a ninty degree jack. These ear buds are made well, the wires are flexible the whole package looks good, the mic and buttons work well.

From previous reviews and ratings, I expected very good quality earphones, but these stopped working well for me after only a couple of days. The slightest shifting of the cord causes the audio to pause or only work on one side
