London Rules: Slough House Thriller 5

Different and the Same
I am devouring this series like the lit candy it is. Every book a sparkling jelly baby jewel. And although you know the twists are coming, they never miss being sharp and, often, more than a little sour. I love the cleverness of the writing and already feel regret for a future where I have finished the series, but cannot stop myself hurtling towards it.

The thrills keep coming
Just a cut above everyone else who writes in this genre. My only beef is that Jackson,s hyper critical approach to his staff is starting to wear a bit thin.Would people really put up with that?I think this is the first book of series where I have had to suspend belief a little too much on occasions. Is it also putting ideas into the heads of terrorists ?One scene is absolutely horrific in the impact it has on the readerHowever, the book races along and keeps the reader guessing for the whole journey. There are some very strong female characters in this series

An addictive series. Start with #1
As with its predecessors I took this one as a download. Itβs an addictive series and I guess I will read the rest. Fun. Recommended on that basis.

Clever
Well rounded flawed characters, tense plot.

So well written that it doesn't matter that the Slough House stories are basically all the same.
So far all 5 Slough House books have basically the same plot (I'm not going give any spoilers), but it doesn't matter because they are so well written and enjoyable to read. Great characterisation, good language, very funny in parts.

Terry Pratchett humour is back and great
Is Jackson Lamb Commander Vimes and River βCarrotβ? If so Diana T must be Lord Vetinari..love this series of books.
